Soooo, without the need for massive fresh water production for steam, are carrier sailors now subject to 'water hours' like most of the rest of the fleet?
No because carriers are bigger than at anytime in history and are powered by steam turbines that use fresh water. The steam catapults also require fresh water. So the carriers can generate the same amount of fresh water but no longer have steam catapults so that they have the more fresh water capacity then ever.
First of all it is more efficient than steam catapults, second they can launch heavier aircraft. AND lighter ones, which get less stress on the aircraft.
Different weights of aircraft, less stress, less energy needed meaning more available for other tech, less crew needed, more launches per hour the list is endless

Instead of wasting all that money on electromagnetic catapults they need to make high-powered laser weapons that can shoot down Hypersonic missiles at 20 and 30 Mi away now cut one in half and just a couple seconds of impact they have high-powered lasers that can do that but you know they probably need a little a small nuclear after the power of them the Navy's got nuclear reactors so what's the problem just put a small secondary reactor on the ship just the power of the laser defense system that's all it does
What is used for energy accumulators?
The nuclear reactor they have powering the carrier
@@officialobama3547 I mean the accumulators, not the power plant. Are they some sort of really big capacitor?
giant flywheels

relability?
Would a emp disable it dumb question since it would probably disable the whole ship

Hi 🎉 lool1978 🎉Battle of warships
Sustainable carrier operations 😂
How is it superior to the same does it fling the Jets twice as fast you wouldn't want that anyway so how is it Superior

There's a downside, it's not real.
Yes, they are.

The waste of money they should have left a high-powered laser defense system to shoot down Hypersonic missiles
"waste of money" says the "hillbilly gamer". more like waste of oxygen.
