- Before Deanston distilled Whisky, it was used as a cotton mill. The mill had its own power supply with water wheels from the River Teith. Read more about it below.↓
The Whiskies at Deanston are rather strong and spicy. The range of Whiskies grew quite fast after the reopening. The distillery now offers many Whiskies including Sherry maturations and a virgin cask edition with Whisky matured in fresh charred casks.
The distillery used to produce a Blended Whisky called Teith Mill but it was discontinued after the old distillery was closed.

Deanston is my favourite distillery! I love their warehouse 4 tour.. both times I’ve purchased a 17-23 year old olorosso or PX bottling tried in the tasting. Love their 12 year, one of my go to’s

Great video Ben. I live around 8 miles from this distillery and love taking a trip through the area. I’ve yet to actually take a tour of the distillery but will hopefully get it done this year.

Love these videos. I only had the Deanston virgin oak one, it was a good one. Would love to try 12 one. Did you tried core range Deanston virgin oak cause it's 46,3 or some kinda limited cause he said it was 55 or smth. Thanks for video 😊
We did indeed taste a special edition, it was the Deanston Virgin Oak - The Distillery Edition.
Perhaps we just had an off day ,, we went to distillery in December. We ended up leaving because nobody seemed interested in the least in helping us! Uncharacteristically UN friendly! Really bad vibes. Last time it was ok ,, won’t go back , wayyy too many other friendly places ! Cheers !!!
