Hi Andy, bakery was pretty much spot on, but those Solvang people got the weather all wrong, weather in Denmark is mostly cloudy, windy and humid, but when it clears oh man! Great job on your sightseeing tour thanks!
Solvang is in California, so it is OK, that you mention wine. But here in Denmark, we are actually more into beer than wine. Although that has changed a lot during my lifetime ( 63 years ).
Solvang is more than just the downtown area... There are fantastic wineries within a 3 miles from downtown... Lincourt, Buttonwillow, Rusack, just to name a few... Also a Michelin rated restaurant downtown called First and Oak if you want to go big... The Landsby Hotel has a great restaurant called Mad and Vin (means Food and Wine in Danish) as well as the Suculant Cafe...If you like Pinot Noir wines, this is where the finest grapes grow in the United States...
You know that place yal r in is the place a serial killer from Solvang his parents once owned that place & they mite still do not sure bout that .Just thought I'd share that lil bit of info with ya have a good day & God Bless .
