One of my favourite covers by Sabaton, just behind All Guns Blazing (if you didn't see that one, you should), amazing. Daniel Mullback is just ripping it here, fantastic drumwork
I will be forever thankful to my dad for introducing me to Amon Amarth, and my brother for introducing me to Sabaton Seeing Amon this november, still no live sabaton though :(
Old Norse speaker here. Your first reaction to the chorus was exactly the same as mine. "He pronounced Ragarok properly (mostly)!" followed by tears of joy. Lol
Sabaton has actually performed this live AT LEAST 2 times: Sabaton - Twilight of the Thundergod (Live Tucson AZ) ruclips.net/video/wLGFHVfRHZQ/видео.html I think it's from when Sabaton was in 2014 supporting Amon Amarth on their USA tour (correct me if I got that wrong). Twilight of the Thunder God (Sabaton Cruise, 2014, 1st Set) ruclips.net/video/iavgPVXZ16U/видео.html Sadly it's just an audio.
It's awesome to see danish (Scandinavian) mythology presented in Marvel movies..but in danish mythology, Thor looked like me. He did not have blond hair and was not very handsome. Fun fact, Scarlet Johansson who is the Black widow is also danish. Another fun fact, Bluetooth on your phone is named after a danish viking king and our current king carry his DNA.
@sarawaage6125 Denmark made Danelaw in England and Danish Knut the great became king of England. Denmark owned Norway for hundreds of years (hence why Norwegian and danish spelling is the same and hence why there's so many danish words in the English language... Google it), South Sweden and northern Germany. Still to this day in Sleswig Holstein Germany there's still people speaking my original language Alsisk. Denmark also owned the virgin islands in the Caribbean Ocean and parts of India and Netherlands and Ireland. We gave Norway back to Norway etc, today the kingdom of Denmark is Greenland, the Farao Islands and Denmark (12 biggets country in the world). We are fortunately not as we used to be, thanks to Harald Bluetooth (his stone is actually close to where LEGO was invented.. I actually live right next to LEGOLAND) who changed everything by connecting Scandinavia (that's why Bluetooth on your phone is old danish runes..H and B). Norwegian vikings discovered Iceland and Greenland and Swedish vikings went to Russia and made them pay Danegeld... Vikings were called Danes hence Danelaw in England for hundreds of years until they kicked our buts, but to me, the word Dane (since Denmark ruled Scandinavia and northern Germany) just means a Scandinavian. We are all somehow brothers and sisters and all our kings and queens to this day is in direct bloodline with danish vikings as as Harald Bluetooth, Sven forkbeard and Knut the great and Gorm the old... I apologise for the long post, but I love history from all around the world. Each country has their own history.
This was a great cover, got the Sabaton sound but still not so different from the original. If you want to check something different than metal. Swedish rapper Xersize feat Madeleine Liljestam with Scars. The lyrics describes how it is to live with anxiety and depression, and Madeleines beautiful vocals are so amazing. This is a rough and emotional song, yet beautiful in an other way. Amazing video too 😀
Peter Tägtgrens growling and screams during the breakdown makes this cover outstanding

My favorite is camouflage

Well worth it. This combination of the 2 was absolutely epic. Sabaton live… awesome experience!
The original song is probably the best metal song I know of.

He is Swedish your argument is mute. It’s the proper pronunciation.

Sabaton with Amon Amarth?! Damn I wish I knew about them in 2014

@sarawaage6125 oohh fun fact..it was actually a Swedish prince that "founded"Russia.
9:55 For that purpose I for one prefer Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags, but to each their own i suppose.
...and behind them Midgard BURNS!
i mean this version of the song slaps hard.. me like it.
I'll be seeing Sabaton in April, in support of another band you may have heard of.. Judas Priest, on their new album tour
How was it?
@@GlobalOutcast Both bands, Sabaton and Judas Priest arguably put on a helluva show, nearly 3 hours of in your face metal
How much do they spend when they produce their videos? Great song and video 💪

Skål from the cradle of viking's, Denmark..are you a Norwegian brother?
Dude, you should also check Twilight of the thundergod by Rage of light, its a female vocalist and i bet you gonna like it.
we need to see carolus rex!
Better than the original imo. I mich prefer the clear epic vocal style of sabaton over amon Amarths vocals.
Milkdrinker.
@@ZackeTheBrutehuh? XD people really can't have opinions here haha
Hej. Undrar bara om du är svensk eller norsk? Annars " cease and desist" med allt som innehåller viking. Cultural appropiation. 🤣🍻
Aside from not caring too much about the whole cultural appropriation police… I do have Swedish ancestry ;)
I like this version.I didn't care for Amon Amarth's original just because of the vocals aren't what im into, cool song otherwise.
That’s totally me! I have huge respect for Amon amarth but man. Sabaton iss whew! Top notch
