Thanks for doing this. I was looking for a demo of all the presets a couple months ago and didn't find one. But I'll be honest, I'm gonna be hearing that arpeggio thing you play at the beginning of each clip in my sleep for a few days. 🙂

Timestamps in the description for hopping around. Phone lettering gets easier to read after the first 6 presets.

Great video I have been looking for! One quick question, some custom presets like "Moonish Clean" which have built in reverb, is this possible to edit this preset on pedal and remain the hidden reverb? for example, I press the switch to load "Moonish Clean" and then switch a cab, adjust gains, and EQ to make it sound totally different, and save the preset, will I still have the reverb? Thanks!

Yes, you can adjust whatever cab/settings you want and it'll retain the custom verb.

Assuming Brown Devil is a Van Halen debut preset

I'm sort of confused here- do you have to use a phone to get all these different presets? I really like this pedal- I am on the fence about buying one, but I have always stayed away from pedals that have to pair with a phone or PC. Everyone I know who has one continually complains about it not wanting to pair up and work right about half the time. That said- I assume it comes with 2-3 presets already on it- and the rest are all in the pedal- even if you can't download them ready to use, you should be able to dial them up- might take a while but, they're in there. Idk- I already use a Headrush MX5 and with the 3rd party, York IRs it actually sounds pretty damn good itself. I should probably spend the money on lessons and skip buying more gear. I've played for over 35 years, but I recently started taking a few online lessons- man my playing improved drastically. I'm self-taught so, it was really nice to learn something without it taking days of confusion and failure.

Without ever hooking to a phone, the pedal has access to 3 cabs. You can save 1 preset on the pedal itself. If you register the pedal with the phone app, it will download 3 more cabs to your pedal so you'll have a total of 6 available cabs. The phone app also gives you access to all the factory and artist presets that I demo'd in this video. Some of these presets are custom stuff you couldn't just dial in on the front of the pedal. For instance, some of these presets are running a Hall reverb, and hall reverb is not part of this pedal. If you don't register the pedal and deal with the phone app, some of this stuff wont be available to you. Also deep editing features like "ghost notes" etc... you can't do without the app. Not ideal, but that's how UA does it with all their pedals. We should all do more learning & practicing :)

Totally agree! in the manual itStates if you're willing to pay a small monthly fee, UA will install a microchip directly into your brain and you will have access to John Mayer's presets wothout the need for an app. JK.
