I have the older version of this and I can say the car lighter did not power my 12 volt fridge, it would light up the controls but the compressor would not start up. Hopefully the newer version fixed that issue. The battery itself worked fine and I used an adaptor from the main terminals and was able to run the fridge from those. My guess is that the one on the old power box was not able to provide enough power to start up the fridge even though it is rated at 12 volts 10 amps. I can also say the old version did not shut off the usb ports even if you turned it off at the button.
