Hey @Lighty, I just discovered your channel today, and I wanted to say, keep it up, you're great. I love your covers, I love how many of your covers are great RPG classics, difficult to find game music, and just good piano. The level of output you've done here, is truly impressive. "120 days+ consecutive uploading." I could not make my way through this many piece so quickly and so well. Truly impressive. I hope this isn't " the last year I'm recording piano covers" because these are fantastic. But if it is, I hope it's because you are moving onto bigger and better things. I'm so impressed, that I hate to do a bit of critique, but as a pianist, I know that it can be helpful. On some of the tracks I've listened the reverb can be quite high, (such as chrono trigger overworld, or 13-2 wish for example) and I'm not sure if it's instrument, transcription, or technique. It seems to require good half-pedal technique, and I'm not sure if your transcription is allowing for enough depresses, or if you're full pedaling the sections, or if the instrument isn't as capable of half-pedaling as an acoustic grand would be. Your recording quality is amazing and I like the signal is just coming through terrifically in every recording I've heard. My only issue ever is some amount of reverb. I feel like the texture and tone are well captured, as well as the dynamics. Often I'm a little thrown off by the richness of the sound compared to the 16 bit games that are covered. The older games get so chippy that piano covers can really bring out a lot those textures and dynamics that could not be done with older technology. I really like hearing them. You roll your chords quite well when you need to, and I'm a little jelly of the precision If we get to shout out requests, I'd take Parasite Eve or Eternal Sonata. Or if you felt like doing some classical, I don't think there are near enough uploads of czerny op 849. But it really sounds like you get to take a much needed break, not take-on a bunch of requests. Anyway, like the channel, like the covers, like the sound. Keep it all up.

Turns out I'm still recording piano covers in 2023; all I needed was just a break lol. Your feedback and comment has been really useful for my piano covers. Now I have gotten rid of the excessive reverb and able to pick a better piano tone! About the pedal thing, it's true that my digital piano is not able to do the half-pedaling technique because It only comes in with a half pedal; as a result, I don't know how to do half pedaling. I only have a cheap pedal that can only do only 1 or 0; either sustain or release.
@lightyinthehood I'm excited to see what's to come. My pedaling needs major work too... sometimes i can hear things a whole lot better than I can play things.
