You can find good silver areas at chunk corners with lucky spawning. My last run I found medium silver. I had two different of quartz intersecting and the grades were bountiful, medium and sooooo much poor. Made about 4 lined lanterns from just that one spot.
Good ol' trader pixel hunt. I like to get my gears through re-selling stuff between them, so staring at a map is a big part of my playthroughs. It's especially fun with a default map. :P
This game and Minecraft, The worst aspect of both games is a the exploration on land. I'm not kidding you. I'm doing a Minecraft Mekanism build at the moment that is going to be 100% underground with zero exploration. I absolutely despise this type of gameplay and it's just jumping on terrain. It is boring, and 50% is occurring at night. As much as procedural generated terrain is hyped up, 99% of it is absolutely boring.
