There are TONS of Lego channel out there but this one is criminally underrated. The quality is unmatched. You just earned a new subscriber. Keep it up!
To be completely honest: I am in the lego scene for over a decade now and seen unbelievably many reviews, tutorials, hauls etc. but you smashed it with the quality… Wow, I can just respect the high effort you put into this and I keep following you on your journey on this channel. I hope to see some old banger sets again. Keep the great work up man! 👍👍
I know I’m not the only one saying this, but these are unquestionably the best Lego review videos I have ever seen. The sheer commitment to editing these with such high quality, literally better video quality than the vast majority of other videos on the platform. I really hope you start to get more recognition, I’ve been commenting and liking on every video, and I’m subscribed!
I didn't think much about this set until I got it for Christmas and easily became one of my favorites. This thing has aged absolutely phenomenally and the box is so nice.
Super cool to see such a high quality review on a classic set like this! Are there any other classic themes that you plaid with as a kid? Perhaps some you'd be interested in making reviews as such, or mainly Star Wars?
@@BrickBuiltBenny I selfishly hoped you were going to say BIONICLE 😅, but the Power Miners still has a pretty big following that I've seen across Instagram, mainly! Especially for being a 2 year theme.
This was my first ever star wars set. I hadn't even seen the prequels yet but I just loved this ship. I was a bit sad that there was no actual Darth Vader figure included so what I used to do was replace Palpatine's hood with Vader's helmet to still have a Vader figure. I'm gonna completely take it apart soon and rebuild it for that nostalgia feeling. Great review as always!
I totally get it! Growing up, one of my favorite ships from the original trilogy was Palpatine's Imperial shuttle. Which looks a lot like this prequel shuttle, but with a larger middle fin. There's something very cool about its design
Once again incredible work with the video Benny! If Lego would update this set i hope they will include 2 shock troopers and change the interior to have the floating stretcher, Also get rid of Anakins lightsaber since Obi-wan took it
Ah yes. I remember getting this at release. I didn't necessarily wanted to have this set, but I just wanted something that stemmed from Revenge of the Sith (and not a lot were available, or even made till date). Shame I sold it a few years later, still holds up quite well against modern Lego SW sets of similar sizes.
Nostalgic: Every Kid's Dream. What an awesome lego set! Too sad the fact that I couldn't get him because they ran out of the stores. :( At least i could have the 2017 version.
It is very interesting to put nostalgia goggles asside and compare the quality and accuracy from back than (golden age) to now. Like you pointed out, in terms of detail and accuracy it’s not super accurate but it looks certainly like it and looks cool. The builds these days are usually much more accurate overall, but still some flaws here and there. But making them more accurate with detailing and stuf requires them to make ships smaller these days. Also the price … 70? I was shocked, thought it would be 50 or max 60. Really a reality check that the prices for these ships have always been high.🤔 Really hope to see more sets from back in the day as a review from you.👍
Thats so funny this was your “set that got away”. I was always personally disappointed with it - and this era of lego was when I started working so I could pick & choose which sets I would get and this was an easy skip - unfortunately. I love the in-universe design of the ship but I felt this model failed to make the cockpit unique (an common theme of this era) and the random colors sealed the deal. Love that you love it though, and honestly love that lego made something so unique.
Love your videos and seeing such a great variety of content. About this set - it definitely is colored by your childhood memories. For my 2024 eyes, this is a terrible looking set and has not aged well at all. But as an adult, probably 75% of the love for Lego is driven by nostalgia hehe.
I felt a weird desire to have this set as a kid too, like, it’s an okay set, and isn’t too special, like 6/10 or 7/10, but I wanted it so bad for some reason. Idk if it’s cause it a cool scene or I liked the figures, or maybe just cause Palpatine is my favorite character, idk.
Yes, it is memorable as one of the bosses rides, but more importantly, the ride the boss is taking to rescue his boy. I don't like the white either, unless it's the UCS Imperial Shuttle, which has also has increased my dislike of excessive studs and anti-studs on sets unfortunately still a problem today
I honestly don’t know why more people don’t watch these. The quality is so good. Baffling
100K viewers within the year. Mark my words.
I agree. I subbed immediately after the first video!

I had this set as a kid. Loved it. Especially the burnt Anakin

Omg, so much nostalgia!. I got this set as a child, as well as sets 8095 and 8097 on the back of the set.
That commercial holds such a special spot in my heart lol. This set was also my favorite star wars set because it probably had the best commercial

That’s awesome! An actual vader would’ve been cool indeed
Love the quality and effort you put in your videos. Very underrated Channel.
Thank you for uploading so frequently recently.
The nostalgia hits hard.❤
I need more of these old set reviews. 🙏

Your content is very well produced. Super approachable style, but also still detailed! You earned a new subscriber! Keep it up!
Keep doing these videos please!! I love seeing old retro Lego sets, especially since I didn’t own many of them
I hope they remake this set one day. It’s a really neat design for a shuttle.
Best Lego channel I’ve seen, all killer no filler
I love this set, because it’s my first star wars set I ever got.
That’s awesome :D
Review coming straight from Mustafar lol. Love it! Keep up the killer content man. Your reviews are top tier.
I Bought an old set that I've wanted so bad as a kid too, totally worth it!
This quality? Keep this up man. Really good work here
I believe the cockpit is removable because it serves as an escape pod too!
Ive had that set for so long! Loved the video
When I was a kid I wanted this set too, it’s peak LEGO with the gimmicks and minifigures lol
Awesome content man, RUclips Algo luckily recommended me this. Looking forward to more future videos!
new comer here, amazed by the work you put in the video, subbed right away
I'm into LEGO now which i never thought i would say something like that, great edits Benny keep up the good work
Super interesting to see, I thought i was the only buying all the captain rex box era sets in misb as an adult😂
The quality of your Videos is just incredible omg

I would love to see a remake of this, i wonder how it would look with tiles on the wings

Hey man out of curiosity, what camera do you use to take these shots? Footage looks really crispy and amazing!
A panasonic S5 :)
Very cool! I wanted the Pirates of Caribbean Black pearl set when I was a kid. Wish I had gotten it :/
That set is literally incredible🥹
@@BrickBuiltBenny Sadly it's kind of expensive if you would want a brand new one... :(
That’s true… definitely one of the more prized LEGO relics
Republic guniships my fav
I had this set as a kid, but I was too stupid for lego and I dismantled it. However I might be able to find a minifigs from it.
"Allow me to take you back to when I was 10... in 2010"
You really had to make me feel old, now did you?!
I made myself feel old too… I was 9😭
Great video
BENNY IS BEGINNING TO POST FREQUENTLY!!!
Do a edit of it, would be really cool.
