Great choice best car on the road love mine the only problems I have with the 2009 IS 250 awd is the alternator and battery word to the wise if you ever have an alternator problem buy a brand new factory don't try to go to auto zone and buy a cheaper model it does not work you will replace it within 1 year and by a good battery 1 time instead of a 100 times

Got an 07' SGM IS350 was finally tired of using an aux cable. This really cleans up the clutter around my arm rest. Love what you're doing on the channel and looking forward to seeing what else I might be inspired to add to my IS.
I recently installed the Pure Bluetooth kit by GTA Car Kits. Installation was straight forward and even though it costs $150 for my 2006 Lexus IS350, it was definitely worth it. I can use the steering wheel's controls to adjust volume and change tracks, it doesn't use any power/AUX connections, and I can use the supplied microphone for calls/Siri. The only drawbacks is that sometimes my phone (iPhone XS) doesn't list it as a "playable audio source" even though it's connected. Fixes after turning bluetooth off then on. Definitely check it out if you're looking for an alternative.

I bought that bluetooth adapter when i saw it in the other vid and the quality and sound are awesome. Turn on and off with your car so you don'thave to worry about battery or anything.... planning to get another one just in case
I bought my 350 3 years ago and have been looking at options ever since. I'm in NZ so things become a little harder to come by and I hadn't found anything worthwhile here. Looked into expensive options like modding the whole stereo to get into it etc but really wasn't viable. I came across this video a couple of weeks ago and instantly bought it. It arrived today and what a difference! Louder than aux cord, better quality than aux cord, so much easier than aux cord. Thanks so much for making this video!

Did you have any trouble picking up the aux signal at first? I have a 07 is250 awd and for some reason my head unit won't pick up the cord, but the bluetooth works fine. Used a normal aux cord/iphone adapter before and after I tried and it worked. Pretty confusing lol

Hello! Just wondering if your Auxiliary plug hits the center console piece? I’ve tried to use multiple Auxiliary cords in the IS250, and they seem to bend and break over time after the plug rests on the center console piece. *the plug of the aux jack, not the wire itself*
Can I ask you what year your IS250 is?? I have a 2007 and the bluetooth on mine works very well but when I hit the aux input button to start hearing my music nothing happens and it stays on the radio.
Can you use the aux port without the power adapter because mine has burnt out it was working for a while but now it doesn't work 😣 I just have a Bluetooth from eBay that plugs in the port not the power adapter but it just shat itself

Now why did it allow my phones audio to car. And more importantly its possible to enabled natively anyelse have the same experience

I have a IS250 and with the noise isolator the music quality is unbearable can’t even hear the lyrics but without it sounds fine but can here kind of a buzzing noise any suggestions??
Definitely will be considering this I am using tunai Firefly right now. I love how small it is. But I am having problems with it connecting automatically. Id say it connects about half the time in it's own and the other half I have to go into my phone and tell it to connect. Does this connect 100% of the time for you?

Hey Martin! I just got an 07 is350 myself. There is an audio hiss in the aux mode WITHOUT this adapter. I haven't bought it yet but am about to and wondering if the filter that comes with it eliminates the hiss?
Well the 250 also has a V6, put isn’t as powerful. I love the high compression V6 on this 350. 306hp and 277 torque. Gets up and goes. Gearing is decent. Gas mileage is about 21-25 for me

This Bluetooth is very good but I keep getting a short glitch every so often and also do you keep hearing a beep after you do anything on your phone and is their a way to turn it off 😂

Hm, never tried to play a DVD. I have a sub, tweeters and a bunch of speakers. It would be strange to not have ML in a fully loaded model but you could be right lol

@@LensOfMartin That is the ML system. Not Pioneer. I have an 08, same set up. It is, infact, ML. The ML in 07 and 08 does not play regular DVD's, however, the navigation is DVD based. So techinically, it can read DVD's, but not PLAY them on the screen. Different coding.

Thanks! Unfortunately not, since this work through the AUX jack. The solutions that can do that are about $150-300. For this $25 one, you can change the song via the buttons on it, or from the phone.

You should tuck that chord in the seam on the left of the console or right if possible so you don't see the wire, if that wire will fit

2006-2009 do not have bluetooth for streaming music, it's an older protocol for phone calls only. 2010+ has it

You should try GROM VLine. It really transforms this car with apple CarPlay and Android auto through the factory screen.
Definitely a cool option if you want to spend more than $25

The wire is thinner and plug is short on this aux end, so I want to say no but I can double check. I haven’t had any issues in almost 2 years.

Nice! There is enough space on the very sides where the wire actually fit though with the console closed, so I didn’t have to leave it open.

Hm, never tried to play a DVD. I have a sub, tweeters and a bunch of speakers. It would be strange to not have ML in a fully loaded model but you could be right lol

@@LensOfMartin That is the ML system. Not Pioneer. I have an 08, same set up. It is, infact, ML. The ML in 07 and 08 does not play regular DVD's, however, the navigation is DVD based. So techinically, it can read DVD's, but not PLAY them on the screen. Different coding.

I haven’t looked since this one has been so solid and works great. I think they released an updated version but I just kept using the same one.

Thanks! Unfortunately not, since this work through the AUX jack. The solutions that can do that are about $150-300. For this $25 one, you can change the song via the buttons on it, or from the phone.

Good question. I would love to know this as well. Can we use the IS Bluetooth for phone calls and just use the BK01 Bluetooth/AUX for music only (using iPhone 7 Plus)? Great video BTW and really helpful. Thanks.
