I have visited Chengdu with my family in Dec 2019, we were staying at Taikoo Li and we have a very good time there. Chengdu is one of the most beautiful city in the world…I will be back 💕💕
Chengdu is a magic city. It is modern but historical, it is leisure and fast-speed. You can not define what is Chengdu, however, you can feel it if you walk around the city.
Many thanks for Nicolai. I love his documentary video for Chengdu. I would visit this city later. And I would like that some western people can visit his channel in the future. It will help them to understand China more, clearly and correctly. Indeed, Chinese people from China are not the thieves or warlike people. They are only intending to bring the prospect and opportunities to the world for all people. It is not only for Chinese people in China. I hope one day will come truth - some western media and some western politicians will take out thier own prejudice views. The picture just like the song of imagine from John Lennon.
Harmony is an important part of the Chinese culture. In Chengdu the traditional and the modern coexist in harmony. Harmony is not only practiced in cities, it is applied all over China and beyond. The Belt and Road Initiative, which has plenty of criticisms, even political demonization, is in essence an attempt at global harmony through trade, commerce, investment, people and cultural exchanges for humanity's common destiny.
The last time I was in Chengdu was 20 years ago. Enjoyed the city and its riverside tea houses. Bet the city has changed a lot now. So thanks for this update.
I have been to Chengdu 3 times, 2001, 2009 and 2018. The changes were remarkable but the spirit was remained unchanged. I was really impressed by this city, would love to live there if got a chance!
Nicolai Petersen, thanks for a beautiful video, very comprehensive inform and very professionally managed and well presented, so keep it up and hope many videos down the road.
this is a shocking brief documentary video about chengdu which is shocking to many of us that have never been to china or at least not in recent years...great video!
The more I learned about China's history the more I felt like they tend to make alot of mistakes overtime. Centuries back, they used to have highly advanced civilisation. Then...fell into poverty...conquer by other countries. During the great leap forward, stupid mistakes was make and ended up in famine. Then came industrialisation, but many didn't persist to develop their own technology, but copy the western one. Now its 2021...I can see they finally make progress into development and innovation again. I hope they persist to use their brain, and perhaps the next big thing will come from China.
The river smells disgusting in Chengdu. Let me ask you something... would you eat a fish caught nearby the Jinjiang Hotel? There’s no clean water or air in Chengdu... Better dead than Red!
You should clean your head to make it rational enough before showing off your "outstanding "comments. It is a joke to judge the things that you don't know.
@@mina5679 10 years in Chengdu and I don’t know how bad the pollution is? Look at the video! He tried to show the TV tower and you can barely see it now because of the smog... Wait till winter time 😂 Tell me, do you ever see kids sweating black dirt when they play outside in the winter? 🤷🏽♂️
@Sora L not even close... there are no laws against dumping in rivers there... multiply the pollution of Orlando times 10... so then multiply whatever pollution you saw in Orlando times ten... Not even close... kidding me? 😂 clearly you’ve never been to China
I’m from Chengdu. The Funan River ten years ago may have been the water pollution you mentioned, but now it’s not the Chengdu it was ten years ago. What you see in Chengdu is water pollution, and what I live in Chengdu is the transformation of Chengdu, the vitality of the city, full of vitality.

Good vlog👍
The woman telling him about Chengdu's renovations speaks great English.
Awesome
Thank you
The city to visit when CHINA open up again.
Chengdu development as a key city in China's South West is understandable. The late Deng Xiaoping came from this Province.
And now the newly constructed and commissioned Chengdu Tianfu international airport gives Atlanta's airport a run for its money
退休就去成都養老,每天都因爲這個笑著醒來。
Thanks share...
Wow! An amazing insight on the beauty and livability of Chengdu! I will most certainly check this out. Thank you
Please do!
