    Former Ravens outside linebacker Matthew Judon made an appearance on NFL Network this week and gave his former teammate Lamar Jackson one massive compliment.
    He was tasked with ranking which offensive players are the HARDEST to game plan for league-wide, and you already know where he has LJ8 listed.
    On this edition of the Vault, Sarah & Bobby dive into that along with the following:
    Inside Derrick Henry's lab
    Could Patrick Queen end up in-division?!
    And more...

    I am a Ravens fan through and through. I interpret Tomlin’s words as a sales pitch. “You’re not a Raven…you need to be here, you’re a Steeler”. I believe this like the sly grin when being on the field as Jacoby was a-coming.

    Gotta agree with Matt, Lamar gives the Raven team and fans hope every time he touches the ball.

    A big statement Judon said was when LJ8 was drafted, he gave the team new hope. Remember he was on the team when LJ was drafted. He also said give him weapons.

    I know these players have to make their money , if its the steelers or wherever , but i hope PQ goes to the NFC . That would make me so happy. 😊

    Henry will be one of the most expensive FA RBs, I'm hoping the Ravens get Josh Jacobs... We probably can get him at a more affordable deal... As of now we're 10M in the red and some good players won't be here next season...

    The salary cap has nearly doubled in the last 10 years, and only 3 franchise tag values have outpaced it, quarterback, linebacker and defensive tackle. Linebacker is the highest tag price other than qb in the league. The supply of difference making, off ball linebackers is very low. Patrick Queen is one of the few, who is measuring far above replacement. The only positions that supply isn't outpaced by demand are the only ones worth investing in. That is why the running back market is collapsing, and why all the positions are averaging out in price, other than the ones that the supply is lower. Left tackles are always a premium, not because their blocks are the most important, but the skills are the hardest to find.

    • @nonya6022
      @nonya6022 6 месяцев назад +1

      To be fair. The LB tag isn't that high because of inside LBs it's that high because edge rushers at OLB are also lumped into the category of linebacker. So, you've got a lot of passrushers under the tag. If you separated the LB positions ILB would be among the lowest tags.

    • @jeremiahw1369
      @jeremiahw1369 6 месяцев назад

      @nonya6022 Very far. I knew that but was trying to make the point that the value is rising even as the price has leveled off under 20 million per. The top earners at the position are very valuable, maybe more than other positions that make more money. Like the difference in production from the 2nd tier of edge guys from the street veteran free agents is putting a drag on all but the 30 million dollar plus guys that never get single blocks.
      It's going that way across the league where only elite blue chip players have any real value over inexpensive replacement level types, of which there is becoming a surplus of at more than just running back.

    Ravens draft late round guys. The develop them, but stash them behind vets. They try to hide them so they can sign the cheap. It has been backfiring on them as of late.
