It's definitely one of the toughest tracks but I have seen people drive it while I haven't seen anyone drive the bum crack at Rope Rd so that would be my hardest track pick
I assume I should avoid Wave Rock Rd on a rigid mountain bike - yes? Stick to Watagan Creek Rd? Doing a long ride so don't want anything too difficult - Yarramalong to Laguna return (up via Murrrays Run Rd, back via Watagan Creek Rd etc)
I wish everyone filmed hill climbing the same way -- with a spirit level or something to get accurate incline. Great footage. Love the Landy. "E-diif" is that electronic controlled differential? Can't you switch it to manual? Mechanical?
thanks, mate, an E-diff like in modern Landrovers is a not selectable electronic diff we refering here to an E-Locker which is a manual locker with electrical current and a magnet
it probably does help if you drive the same vehicle for over 20 years and having won every 4wd competition imaginable in it... Probably the best driver in Australia
Sorry if you feel that way, but not once in the video do I say e-lockers are bad. We had 3 guy's with e-lockers, and you see what happened. I said once that they are not well suited for technical hill climbs which is a fact. Adrian newly installed locker only seemed to work occasionally which we found out on this drive would you like me to leave that out of the video or pretend it was not the case?
AllOffroad 4x4 Adventures TV That's fair enough. It's not what you say specifically it's how you're saying it. Did you discover why Adrian's locker was intermittent? Don't get me wrong, to a degree I agree with you and the tjm pro lockers are looking pretty good. I own an e locker (only rear locked) and swear I haven't had an issue. I'm going to take notice. I drive pretty technical tracks and has been pretty good. Partly also concerned about my purchase hahaha
but I have to admit that I'm a bit disheartened with the e-locker I discovered for myself the issue with the unlocking (which cost me over 3k) and I know three people close to me with e-lockers who had one of the tree grub screws which hold the spider gears in place sheer off and in two instanced wreck the diff in the 3rd case it was caught by the diff plug magnet. First one was replaced under warranty but ruined Kurt's High country Trip, Steve still needs to send his in, and the 3rd one was also replaced under warranty. I have zero monetary gain from any manufacturer or locker and just share my experience.
needs to go back to Harrop, mechanic says it's a lazy magnet I'm not so sure. It was definitely not the expected short unlocking and locking during directional change, he is not to happy as he spent quite a bit of money on them only a few month ago.. but lets see what the issue is.
Facts are facts mate, Stefan just telling it how it is. Just an inherent problem with them and hes not the first or the last person to ditch e-lockers and go back to air lockers.
What do you think is the most difficult track in the Watagans?
Whitemans Lane. mainly because its much longer + tough, and the first difficult rock section is very hard to get up without winching.
Spuds MacKenzie!!! You had a celebrity in this show...
Like allways very good driving Action........
...and good additional infos to your Locker-Video...
I like the Kind you make your videos.
Ah yes that pitman arm. That was an interesting day. We made it out just as it got dark. Will be back to drive Wave Rock another day.
lol I heard it was a bit of a long day.....
Gunna put another vote for hell Hill. Especially after that bit of rain washed out under the first step and made it a big ol undercut!!
Cheers

Ant hill is actually named Sawmillers Rd

Seems like the tracks My Disco would tip over on.
I would say 33" and double locked minimum on this tracks
Smoko corner & the crack would be the all time hardest next would be hell hill
hm is that up the hill at Smoke, think if done that

Crazy tracks
So is kurt of to tjm soon for new lockers.like his shirt where did he get it from.i cant believe no one broke anything
no I think he will stick with e-lockers for now, quite a expense changing them now... Will ask him where I got his shirt from :-)
Good job.
For a shortie , I think Hell hill would be the hardest I've seen.
yes I would agree, I still need to drive Hell hill without breaking something need to give it another go now with Portal upgrade
actually bum crack at Rope rd yet have to see someone drive it
Haven't been there yet.
Waiting for a 2 year drought so theres no mud.
not that much mud really just bloddy slippery
What is John John's secret to having such a capable vehicle on 33s? Weight? Gearing? Driving skill? All these things the same?
it probably does help if you drive the same vehicle for over 20 years and having won every 4wd competition imaginable in it... Probably the best driver in Australia
AllOffroad 4x4 Adventures TV yes I really admire his control. Would love to see an episode about car/driver
Driving skills off tap
whats the track called where the entry point is just before the bp on legets drive?
"I don't think the Eaton e lockers are bad"
All we heard was you dissing them this video. Love your content but this was hard to watch.
