Thank you Dr. Morales, really appreciate you our videos. Had an ablation late March, 8 mos after diagnosis. So far, I'm very pleased I did this, fingers crossed it can get some good mileage out of this one. I'm a little complicated b/c I have IMGUS too

I definitely like this format....thank you. I am in constant afib and really want to get off blood thinners. What is the actual risk for stroke compared to people with afib that don't take blood thinners? I live alone and don't want to fall and bleed out.

Thank you for this video. Very informative. I have recently been diagnosed with Afib and Afib Tachycardia. Both conditions are episodic rather than chronic. I am wondering about what types of exercise would be appropriate. My cardiologist said I can do anything but I have seen videos that say you should only do light to moderate exercise. What are your thoughts on the subject of exercise?

great idea to do this q and a. For someone in Permanent AFIB if Cardioversion does not work well, if Ablation does not work well, what then? I am on Beta Blocker and Blood Thinners, and my symptoms are very mild, I dont notice anything. I stopped the Beta Blocker once and felt heart flutter, but that only lasted a short time. Can I just continue for life on my exisiting meds? Is my life expectancy reduced? I find lots of info on You Tube, but I cannot find an answer to that question. My EKG pulse is below 100. I am 65 now. In good health apart from AFIB.

I had asymptomatic permanent afib for 5 years before bad debilitating symptoms started to show up Jan of 2021. Heart-rate swings between 45-160, bad dizziness, and just a general feeling of unwell(like trying to describe having the flu). Cardioversions and ablations were not an option because of the length of time I was in permanent afib. I chose not to try these options early on because I felt great and did so for 5 years. I went the pacemaker/av node ablation option. Pacemaker in August, AV node ablation in October. I am back about 95%, playing tennis twice a week, golf, yardwork, etc. And no side effects from having to take metoprolol. Check with your electrophysiologist. This was an aggressive approach for me but I have gotten my life back. Good luck.

If a person like me has tried three different antiarrhythmic drugs and they have not restored nsr then us there a good reason to take one at all, or as part of an ablation procedure? Thanks very much

This afternoon I was SO THIRSTY, it's SO HOT in Texas and I drank a cold drink too fast and BOOM... in AFIB.... it took two hours with 3 bananas, vasovagal manuevers, yoga, elevating legs, etc etc to stop the process... good grief!!

another question please. If you are in Permanent AFIB, and symptoms are minimal and barely noticeable, should Ablation be considered? Maybe I am wrong, but I thought Ablation is only used to improve quality of life, and help you live longer? If AFIB is under control, is it not possible just to live with it, and live a normal and long life?
