They needed to grow individually. Darlene finally overcame her panic attacks because of always depending on someone's company, and Dom finally relaxed and got her much needed good night's sleep.
lol I forgot about the ending of this episode. It might not be what most people wanted for the two characters, but personally I really liked the twist. I also like that Darlene stays because she is pretty much the only person that Elliot still have that really loves him. If Darlene is not around, all Elliot have is his own mind.
I really liked it as well, also because Darlene realised she doesn't need anyone but herself. The whole thing wasn't really about Dom, it was about her not being able to be alone
Loved getting some Leon and Irving this episode they are both great! And the Domlene ship got plenty of time to shine this episode. Funny/sad that they missed one another in the end but at least they both had a happy ending this episode. Dom finally got some sleep and Darlene feels more comfortable with her ability to handle herself. And like you both said, they probably wouldn’t be able to have a very healthy relationship anyways so this is likely the best way this could’ve played out for them both in the long run. Lot of good dialogue this episode! I can’t contain my excitement for these last 3 episodes, you guys are going to love it
Absolutely amazing episode, the closing of Dom and Darlene is so special. Such an emotional scene. When Darlene put on her glasses and the song starts playing, it's just so much emotion.
'run away with me' is the official domlene song now. Truthfully, I loved their ending, Darlene needs to learn how to take care of herself and Dom needs to learn how to have a life outside her job and family, a life of her own. I also love that they didn't immediately end up together but the hope is there, once they work on themselves it can work. Leon and Irwin were my faves and seeing them for the last time was the best shit ever.
Irving applied the same logic (or perhaps the absence of it) on Dom with the signed book that The Red Wheelbarrow applied on him with the milkshake punch card
@@KeangoDLuke the beauty of this show, is when rewatching it, it still feels so emotional, as well as u pick up on details, so even tho they figured it out already, they'll still cry like crazy. I think theyll agree it's up with breaking bad as best ending ever. Personally for me it's above bb
@@jhzwwe123 no its really much more higher than 3000, think about how big, rich and powerful the Deus group was and they have been stealing money for YEARS. and also judging by the ppl's reaction, it had to have been much bigger. But this show leaves so much to our interpretation as well m so i want to imagine everyone received $50 000 each XD.
@@SharmaForLlama I don't think it would only be the US, E-Corp was a global corporation and people with E-Coin walles would be all over the world, maybe just with the highest concentration in the US, similar to Paypal accounts for example. It would still only be small percentage of world population and the people who were probably most exploited by the Deus group probably wouldn't have it, so it's really more a gift to the global middle class.
Fun fact: at 12:55 the pictures on the wall behind Elliot are the cover image of the book “The Body Keeps the Score: Mind Brain and Body in the Transformation of Trauma” by Dutch psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk.
Grilled cheese sandwiches are really good, especially when you add some stuff to it. I never had one because I'm not American either (I'm, German) until I watched the tv show Bojack Horseman (big recommendation by the way) and one of the characters mentioned that she got obsessed with mastering the art of the perfect grilled cheese sandwich because it was cheap and it was something to do while having no friends and no family in a new city she just moved to. And I was at that exact situation, so I was like "Yeah sure, sounds like something for me".
pretty silly and disappointing concept though... evenly redistributing that much money to everyone just causes immediate market inflation effectively making everything everyone has worthless and e-coin drop in value to re-regulate the market lmao
I know this is not the right forum, and I do look forward to see you seeing Mr. Robot finale (I loved it personally). Please look into the Succession serie afterwards. Really appreciative of your analysis, great job!
You two should consider watching Outlander, it’s truly one of the best series out there and I think you’d both do an amazing job handling discussions on certain topics and reacting to them. Plus, it has one of the most epic love stories of any series imo and has won many awards. The only reason it’s not more popular imo is because it airs on STARZ (which is less popular than HBO or other major networks). The final season of Outlander comes out next year, and there will be a prequel series that seems promising as well. PLEASE at least consider putting it on a poll to see if your viewers would be interested. It is not a very commonly reacted to show but gets high views for channels that are already well established like yours! Plus, it’s just SO good.
@@jens2049 To be fair our grilled cheese is vastly different as we usually put it in a tosti ijzer/"contact grill" and Americans soak theirs in butter and grill it in a pan.
@19:30, when you asked "How many would that amount to?".... doing some rough calculations that the US was, at the time, 30+ Trillion US Dollars in debt since 1972, and White Rose has been doing this since the 1980s, the Deus Group has approx 50 Trillion E-Coin (digital dollar equivalent) from their worldwide pilfering. And at the time of this show (2019) the US had approx 250 million taxpayers (population base for E-Coin users), so doing simple math, everyone with an E-Coin account would've gotten 200k E-Coin. Not bad.
18:20 that moment felt flat to be. It is my only criticism about this season really. I feel like it should have been executed better, filmed differently or edited differently. Just having people in the park look happy didn't really illustrate the impact of what they just did. I should have felt goosebumps in that scene but it just felt a little flat to me
The show never told how much people got, there are several calculations, guesses online, but based on those it's not that big of a deal. The money people got will be used for a few investments, renovations, a few vacations but it won't change anyone's life.
Hmmm What would happen if every adult on the planet with an account got say $5k? Well some would be sus and do some digging or call the bank, some will spend it immediately and most would probably be asleep. Assuming workers haven't quit, Malls would be full, restaurants would be packed but not airports, not that day at least. It also won't be in the papers till the next morning although social media would be on fire but everyones already always on their phones so that wouldnt change anything. Most head of states, bankers and law enforcement would probably be having some kind of crisis meeting but once they find out it's fsociety it'll click. So yeah not much change would be obvious to the characters in the first 7 hours or so.
People in the answers here are talking about the in-universe consequences. But I know you're talking about the impact of what they did in a filmmaking kind of way. And although I agree with you on first watch, with a second round it was clear to me that our main theme was never about the hacking and subsequent redistribution of well, like Elliot said, that was Darlene's goal, Darlene was never our main character, so the actual big and good thing didn't feel as grand because we're not supposed to feel it like that, everything that happened probably wasn't worth it for the outcome. It was a big and nice win but perhaps it cost too much. I think the show made that feeling clear here. Now... What felt more grand? What felt more righteous? Stealing from whiterose, destroying whiterose. This is what Elliot really wants. This is what the show makes us feel. The stealing felt better than the redistribution.
Star wars reactions? Also chernobyle reactions?!? Chernobyle is only 5 episodes and a billion times more emotional than anything you guys have watched, including band of brothers

Precisely.
They needed to grow individually.
Darlene finally overcame her panic attacks because of always depending on someone's company, and Dom finally relaxed and got her much needed good night's sleep.
They both have enough money to see each other whenever they want now. And travel has to be cheap with E Corp and the Deus Group destroyed.
