My prediction for the upcoming season for SMU. I am only going game by game and result of a win or loss and record at the time the game is complete. The reason I have SMU losing four games in a row is because they play the FCS school after they play Nevada first; which will give them an extreme false sense of security and accountability and accomplishment that they are ready. But they are not as ready as they think or should be. I understand that you want to give your new conference a good impression and your future non conference opponents as well. But if at all possible, next year I would flip the first two games or have two decent G5 schools even if one or both are capable of beating you before playing conference games to get better preparation and results. In fact if I were SMU after this season, I do my best to not have any FCS teams on the schedule if at all possible. I schedule games against UNT as is a rivalry, Liberty, continue with BYU and TCU if possible, and in other seasons when one or two of those four teams are unavailable, pencil in or pen in CCU, Tulsa, any of the Service Academies, FAU, Memphis, Wyoming, NIU, Toledo, Ohio, Marshall, WKU, SHSt, UAB, Ball State, Tulane, San Diego State, and JMU in non conference games in the future to secure strength of schedule and prepare you better for the conference grind in the ACC, unless some of those schools end up in the ACC in the near future. And I would make it a priority to have two P4 schools on the non conference schedule every season possible ; which means could have seasons where all four non conference games are against fellow P4/A4 teams. SMU DID NOT EARN THE RIGHT TO BE IN AN AUTONOMOUS CONFERENCE! THEY DID NOT! So they of all schools have to prove it in literally every single sport imaginable. SMU vs Opponent: results SMU vs Nevada: W 1-0 SMU vs HBU: W 2-0 SMU vs BYU: L 2-1 SMU vs TCU: L 2-2 SMU vs FSU: L 2-3 SMU vs Lou: L 2-4 SMU vs Stan: W 3-4 SMU vs Duke: L 3-5 SMU vs Pitt: W 4-5 SMU vs BC: W 5-5 SMU vs UVA: W 6-5 SMU vs Cal: W 7-5 SMU vs Bowl Opp: L 7-6
So many errors in this video. Rhett Lashlee calls the offensive plays not Offensive Coordinator Casey Woods. Savion Byrd is a transfer from Oklahoma not Texas. Those are just two of the most obvious.
@@JoeBrobackSMU is going no better than 7-5 or 8-4 but 5-7 would not be surprising given after the first two games the next four games are against teams ahead of them in many areas and Florida State and Louisville will crush them. I see them starting 2-4 before getting back on track with a win at Stanford but the game after that at Duke and the last game of the season against Cal will determine if finish 5-7, 7-5, or 8-4. 6-6 is a strong possibility as well and the bowl game regardless who they play will be a crapshoot at best but will not be surprised if they lose that if they qualify for a bowl.
I appreciate you for making these videos great info every time
Thank you! I love doing them and they help me get locked in for the season!
Putting the red and the blue on July 4 is excellent work
I wish I could say I planned that a while ago haha

Great video. Love the coverage of SMU. Will say though I don’t think Woods calls plays. Believe Lashlee has been calling plays so far.
Great video
The fumbles with knighton are going to be absolute pain again…
Not a portal loss, but losing Je’lin Samuels due to grades sucks. It’s what led to Billy Walton being brought in
Damn I didn’t know that.

Yeah I realized that Byrd was from Oklahoma. Not sure why I had Texas in my head. That’s my bad
@@JoeBrobackdon’t worry bout this dude, it was honest mistake. These videos are great bro you got a supporter
@@uncloudd I appreciate that! How do you think they do this year?
