that outro is straight up one of the best musical moments i've ever heard. i love how donny occasionally lifts the music out of the established '80s corniness and into genuinely emotionally evocative territory, it's like when you're hit by an unexpectedly sincere moment in like a comedy film. it's cool when parody/pastiche leans into something more weighty on occasion :)

What i love so much about Donny is that he is hilarious but par excellence in quality. I generally dislike parody music or ironic music, there's too much of it nowadays, but the thing with Donny is that the line between "parody" and serious music is so blurred that you can only be impressed how fresh it is. While we have endless amount of "new 80s music" nothing really sounds 80s, everything is over the top, while Donny's music could pass as 80s pop suave songs any day. Everything from instrumentation, way of playing, VIDEOS, atmosphere... everything is pure quality. And that ending is amazing, Dario Argento vibes :)

So true. At first I just couldn’t figure out whether it was parody or serious- felt like having a laugh, but the music was great and he was bloody nailing it. Then, I realised it was both at the same time, and in being so, as close to perfect as 80s music might get these days. We’re all having a great time, as Donny clearly is, so I’ve stopped questioning it in any way instead telling everyone to jump aboard :-D
Donny, I don't know if you'll ever see this. But I want you to know I work at a dealership and I whistle this almost 4 times a day, ESPECIALLY walking through the shop where it echoes and sounds just like the song.
