    I loved seeing Margaret on your show! I am such a big fan of hers and have been for ages. HGTV needs to have people like the two of you to elevate their gardening programming. Thanks, Joe and Margaret!

    That idea of siting a garden from where you look OUT of your house is spot on. It has never made sense to me to see "foundation plantings" crowded up against a house's exterior walls, but when you look out the window, all you see is lawn.

    What a great interview and tour. I'm a big fan of Margaret's writing and it was fascinating to hear the origin story of her garden and how she grew her life around it. Thank you for such a great episode!

      So nice of you. Thanks. The pond gets both sun and shade. But a pond in full sun will grow a lot more algae. Therefore some shade is helpful. And yes, the snake scene was fun. Snake safely returned to its location. 👍
