Heads up! I have the same engine, with a smaller 7 row cooler. It mounts in similar fashion, using the provided mounts. The flex of the rubber vibration dampers allows the cooler to come in contact with the oil pan! Mine is getting grooved from the cooler's back edge. Your set up is even closer to the oil pan than mine... Im looking in to a different mounting location because there is no room to move the cooler fore or aft.... I know of at least one other set up, where the oil cooler is mounted aft of the motor, between the lower engine mount rods...

Air flow does strange things . If you block off the flow on the rear with the sump it will have the same effect as blocking off the front . Might work better somewhere else.You need low pressure behind it to suck the air through .Rotax installations are worth a look at .If you have the connections at the bottom you might trap air inside .Look at the ULPower drawings ..Rotax engines have been screwed by wrong connections on the oil cooler.Check .check .

you should probably rough in your lower cowling before finalizing your cooler mount. that will give you a 3d location for the cooler.

It's going to vibrate against your oil tank. It's to close to it. Air rushing in while flying will PUSH it up to it and eventually rub a hole in it.
