I have an immigrant family living beside us and he openly boasts how he claims Universal Credit here for his wife and 7 children, he travels down to the Republic of Ireland and claims down there, has a social house here and in the Republic, he sub let's them!! He also told me he used to get the boat to Scotland once per fortnight where he claimed under a different name again for wife and 7 kids!! They have 2 kids!! He no longer has to travel to Scotland as he was put on the sick for Trauma and mental health and is driving a brand new PIP car here, travelling on several holidays a year and wearing designer clothes. He tells me he milks the UK Gov for about 6500 per month and openly laughs. He sends money home and advised me that all his mates do the same because UK is easy pickings!! All while I'm working full time to pay for him and his ilk. Makes me sick to the stomach.
@anitahornbrook745 Reporting someone on the DWP website is as close to pointless as is possible. The report is designed to make you, as the reporting person feel like you have achieved something when in reality it’s a placebo to make you go away They don’t investigate the online reports
I once used to give money to different charities abroad but then it came to light that sometimes the money never goes where it is supposed to so I stopped! I can't do it now because my only income is a state pension.
The OBR Black Hole Figures was used to Withdraw the Winter Fuel Allowance. Now they are using another One of the Four Sets of Figures they use to Fiddle the Books. And as if by a Miracle they are now set to be able to Borrow 50 Billion for investment.
The RBL don't help service people. I'm a former serviceman and haven't given to them for decades. Why do we have service people living rough and the bosses on high salaries?
I’m an ex solider of 15 years. Have been asking for help for over 10 years now. I get nothing! I wouldn’t recommend supporting the RBL, just cos, the money never comes to the ex forces! Hence so many of us end up homeless!
Here's a new tax we do need: A Remittance tax. 'Remittance' is money sent from immigrants back to their homeland. The World Bank estimates this could be in the region of £25 billion per year for the UK. This money is leaving the UK and will not be spent here - unlike the pensioners winter fuel allowance etc. If Labour are obsessed with inheritance tax and gifts within families, well here's a massive source for them to tap into. And don't forget, we already spend £12 billion on Foreign aid - which you could argue is in total about £45 billion added together.
