I am an audi guy, but what have they done with this interieur? looks so old in comparison to Mercedes new MBUX..
Robin Bpunkt it reminds me of the older bmw’s
Robin Bpunkt that’s because it’s more of a facelift than a whole new generation like the bmw now is
Brend new 3 series doesn't have better interior. And this is just fsce lift.
TheEryk that’s your opinion
@@mcyeet2902 that's a fact not opinion.
i honestly love all the changes they made... except for the removal of the mmi controller. the a4 isn't designed to not have it unlike their newer cars. they should have waited until the new redesign in a few years
Meh.. I like the current design better so I'll be keeping mine for a while.
Why did they lose the character line that ran from the hood shut line to the taillights? Why did they stick a massive screen on the dash? Where is the MMI controller? I like my 2018 even more now.
I agree the line going from the bonnet gap to taillights looked very good but now the lines just end
Oh my god, they're still going with the ridiculous looking stuck-on screen? Is it that hard to integrate it neatly in to the dash?
Exactly what I thought. The updated C-Class has the same kind of screen though...
I don't think anyone owning those cars minds, especially since it is one of the best interiors out there.
It’s better to have the screen that high up and you don’t have to deviate your eyes further down from the road to use it
No, not really but it's still cheaper so why bother when people buy them anyway. Again, the people who care suffer for pandering to the lowest common denominator. Cant be helped i guess...
I liked it when the screen used to pop out when you switch it on
This S4 TDI will get bullied by M340i and C43.
Luckily we get the petrol version in NA tho
Except it's quicker than both and consumes half as much fuel.
BeyerT1 this S4 is slower than those other two (0-60)
@@derbigpr500 Except it's not even half as fun as a nice sounding petrol straight six that loves to be pushed all the way to 7k rpm
The S4 always got bullied by the C43, one of the reasons why it went diesel
Looks so meh. Audi’s designers are probably Tupperware designers.
It looks like a damn Kia
Volkswagen will KILL the AUDI brand. Mark my words
All audi look the same...
@@campkira Audi is a joke of a brand now a days. See what they have done to the Muscular Q7 .
No characteristics no personality. 2020 Audi A4 looks like a joke. Interior of the A8 is so bland that the whole Interior looks like 3 or 4 Tabs placed in a home furniture.
And people go gaga over Audi. Feel sorry for Audi.
Sit in a Audi A4 or a Passat, hardly any difference. Passat looks better from inside for a matter of fact.
Correct
Dunno how I feel about this. That new touchscreen looks cool but I feel it’d be a bit oppressive while driving. Also, the MMI jog dial is great for keeping your eyes up. I’m getting an A4 later this year and I sort of hope it’s gonna be the current model.
I own the current B9 A4 and there is no way i will ever upgrade to this.
Theyve basically made it look like a facelifted B8 from the front. Goes to show how gorgeous that generation was.
Audi: look, this is the facelift of the A4
BMW/ Mercedes: thanks Audi
M / AMG: a S4 diesel? Thanks Audi
Memo for BMW & Mercedes: do not hire the Audi designer
Good job Audi keeping the diesel! But we need mild hybrid on diesel please! That screen is only thing that’s out of place. And big mistake losing the MMI wheel controller. The interior looks fantastic besides that. New LED lights look better. But increased price never does.
I got a Audi S4 but I think Bmw winning with their new 3series. One of the best looking car at the moment
Well done Audi pushing the limits even further with this car. It looks gorgeous the interior and especially the exterior. Good job!
I love Audi but they are making it hard for me not to prefer bmw atm
So glad I did not wait to get a 2020 A4. I was worried it would go touch screen like the A6 so got a 2019. So glad I did. I hate touch screens. I always seem to hit the wrong button. The MMI is easy to use a keeps eyes more on the road.
Neahhh ... the front lights are not so nice ... and I would enjoyed an interior similar to the q3.
King of Enterior = AUDI✓🔥💯👌🏻
The S60/V60 look better than all of them.
True, do love to new 3 series as-well though
I only wish the Volvos had sportier power-trains. A thrashy twin-charged I4 with a slow transmission just kills it for me.
On the interior tho.. Volvo really sucks.
I have A4 2017, it is very good, but if the swivel wheel is gone, no more Audi for me.
Touch screen is annoying while driving.
I think both BMW and Mercedes now have both touch screen and Swivel Wheel. Was it too hard for Audi to do so !!
This size seems to be big for the A4.
I also have the A4 at my house, but it is white and thin...
Are you thinking of a piece of A4 paper? They're white and thin and A4 sized.
@@veemacks7255 you're right
It's the same size as the last one.
@@kraenk12 210mm x 297mm ?
I think it looks good so does all the other cars in the new range, yes removal of the mmi is annoying but to get around that you can use the digital cockpit which works a treat.
The bmw 3series looks the best
Yea, but even BMW is starting to get boring...
They starting to focus more on luxury rather than sportiness.
Nice design but I personally think that the 1st facelift looks more aggressive both front and rear..Why remove the previous rotary controller? They should rather make the mmi screen retractable similar like the A3 design..
B8.5 was the pinnacle of Audi design language- both exterior and interior-wise
3 series undoubtedly the king of this class🤟
Time for the B10. The B9 and I guess this new B 9.5 have missed the mark from launch.
The previous model was perfect to my mind.... this is less so. Who okayed that face?
Excessive Worry Are you 12?
Audi’s designs are getting worse with each generation. 😞
Andrew Salazar which older one is your favorite?
R8
B8 one of the best
Not really. You are right with some q8,a4,q5 but a5 is looking good and e-tron gt in sick.
All audi look the same...
Sooo, I’m guessing the S4 won’t come to the US? There’s no way they try to sell a diesel in the States
This will put the former model in high demand.
Which Car of those presented? I realy don't know. Each one is perfect.
it looks more like a 2008 audi a4
Exactly my thought. Take away the haunch lines and it looks like when they went very boring looking.
Chris Hayes They have managed to make this car ugly again... The car industry it’s starting to be disappointing nowadays. And car brands never rectify
Volkswagen will kill the Audi brand. Mark my words and I think they are doing it intentionally
I love the new look
That Background music is awesome and Matt Watson is the best car reviewer in the World.
The New BMW 3 Series Is the best sports sedan on sale
I currently own an A4 (before the facelift) and I agree. Considering selling my current Audi and get one of those new 3ers. Looks good and probably drives great too. It just feels to me that Audi kind of lost their direction.
Bmw series 5 is beter but diferent class or Volvo V60 cros has Godnes chasie
One thing i hated about my A4 was the stuck on screen, I'm so surprised they didn't do a version of what they did with the A6, miles better

I like it. I thought they had well and truly cocked up the new A1....now that I've seen a few, I totally get it. I assume it will be the same for this. Liking a lot of Audis at the moment.
It looks to much like the A1 at the front, it should look more like the A8 like Mercedes does with the C-Class looking like a mini S-Class
You mean make the cheap cars look more expensive... why pander to the same people that put C63 badges on the C300?
I feel like this update made the front look narrower, and I hate how they used the honeycomb grill, which used to be an rs exclusive.
Why on earth did they get rid of MMI 😩. It was the number one reason for me to get an Audi tbh...

Hello sir James I have a question but probably u won't answer. Until when the brand new cars will keep increasing in price and dimentions compared to the same previous model?

@@auton3035 Yeah that is stretching it a bitttttttttttttttttttt more like limited to 155 but even if they offer limiter defeat, it will probably be around the 160-170 absolute max. Audi notoriously under rate their acceleration figures, even so a 0-62 time will be more realistically around 4.4 sec. I would add that its not dumb to make a S4 TDI as it is a cleaner choice than the petrol. Diesel gets a bad rap mostly through ignorant media commentators and even more ignorant meddling politicians, made worse by VAG ridiculously stupid and unnecessary attempt to manipulate US regulators Via diesel gate. Euro 6 Diesels are cleaner than the equivalent Petrol Units now and will get even better in the next few years. They still have an important role to play as we transition to electric and Hydrogen fuel cells. The V6 TDI torque this thing offers in the A4 will give the car huge all around performance, different from a Petrol motor yes but really nice to have all that torque deployed in real world conditions. I suspect the face-lifted A4 will look better in real life and as Audi's tend to age better than Beemers and Mercs it will settle in well and sell well. Lets just look back at how much stick the model had when it first hit the road..Bland, Boring, Samey etc... that soon fell away as the haters got on with their sad lives and to hating something else.
I look forward to the reviews on the diesel S4. You should pit it against the awesome BMW F30 335d! The S4 has slightly more power, but has the same 0-60 time...so should be interesting.
Why’re they still putting Audi stickers on the side like its 1990?

Ok, couple of years ago, they released the new A4 which looks like a facelift model.
Now they release the facelift model which looks like a new car. WTF! Now it looks like a Skoda.
I like the rear end but the front doesnt look as good imo. I really liked the 2016-19 headlights. I also liked the mmi scroll wheel. If you asked me yesterday I would have said the Audi looks the best, but now I gotta go with the new BMW.
Terrible update. The previous car was really better, in terms of visual. By the way, Matt: why didn't you compare this car to the new (revised) Jaguar XE? You should also review the Jag! :-)
I'm sure his test unit was in the shop at the time, like most are, along with the Alfa's.
It’s a shame this didn’t get the integrated dual screen touch screen layout from the A6 & A7 etc. Overall nice update to the range.
I can't believe Audi snuck into my house, stole my Nintendo Switch and then glued it to the dashboard of the new A4 :(
I have the 2018 a4 black optic edition. Removal of mmi system is a big RIP and front looks way weaker than my model.
