    This was very helpful! I have a 2013 Pro that I just replaced the motor in and it wouldn't idle very well. I followed your steps, used a little bit of common sense, traced wires because my TPS plug was different and made it work. The general idea you showed was the same. Thank You for saving me $200 of shop charges and teaching me another useful skill!

    I just bought 2 2016 axys 800s for a killer deal - both have less than 1500 miles on them. One of them has a super low idle on start up to the point the screen flickers and it wont go into reverse. Gonna try this out and see if it resolves the issue

    What connector you using to power the ecu ? Which wire or Color wire you put the pin in to read the voltage ?

    I have a question, I did everything in the video with the set screw not touching the throttle cable and got to .7000 but after tightening the set screw it only lowered my milivolts? I then tried to put the set screw all the way in so the throttle cable was slack and it just made my millivolts go down to .2000 and the highest it would go is .4000 please help!

    Thanks bud. My 16 800 is taking more pulls to start and dying after 30sec and running good after the 2nd start... Probably tps is out.

    Just attempted this the other day. My TPS was at .711 and idle set to .928 if i set to .700 and .940 my sled will not idle down below 2200-2300rpm. I reset it back to .711 and .928 and runs great and idles at 1850rpm.

    I have a 2009 assault, fresh rebuild, everything new. Put 80 miles on yesterday, starts on 1 pull, idle is perfect, throttle response below 6000 rpm is good, anything over half throttle it bugs down. Could this be a tps issue and is it worth monkeying with it if the idle is fine?

    • @mutt2jeff
      @mutt2jeff  5 лет назад +1

      No, you need consistent power supply, and you will probably kill the sled while moving the position sensor

    • @cassidystrickland2557

      Just turn the key on and dont start...it will give you the 5volt reference. Probe the sensor wire and you can ground your negative lead of your meter on any bare metal surface

    I have a 2013 pro and the engine light goes of and on with the code 520 194-3 which I learned it meant high voltage with the throttle and I’m really confused how to fix it bc it’s a small problem that puts the sled in limp mode and I can’t even drive it when it happens!!
