I lost my sweet boyfriend, Austin, on August 6, 2020 to an accident.. he was a huge Cory Wells fan and introduced me to his music as well. Listening to these songs have a different meaning now. 💔

Goddamn dude. I know you probably obsess about your lyrics and all the tiny moving parts of each and every one of your songs, but just wanted to tell ya that this one is perfect. Every word, every note, every volume and crescendo etc. literally have had chills throughout this entire new album, but this one in particular almost brought me to tears. They say art is never finished but from one songwriter to another, this one is DONE. Keep it up dude. You’re killin’ it.

This song hit me on another level. Everyone takes their own meanings from music, but I had a girl that got an abortion against my will and this is what this song spoke to me. I love that I can hear the emotion in the vocals. You need more recognition my friend.
Its amazing how the same song can have two different interpretations and emotions. For me this song hits me hard because my step father took his own life a few years ago. Even though it affected me alot, I feel like some of the lyrics echo how my mom must of felt. Chokes me up.

I lost my mother on the 5th of February at the young age of 46. I’m still trying to process that she’s really gone. One minute I’m fine and then the next I’m a wreck. I just want to call her and tell her how much I love her, hug her til she jokingly tells me to get off of her. I’d give anything to have her back. It really doesn’t seem right she’s gone at such a young age. I’m 28 and my mom is gone. 🥺

Damn this one hits hard. My best friends daughter died in 2011, then my best friend died in 2017 and then her 4 year old son was killed in February this year two weeks after my brother died.
I had music playing while I was doing other things and this made me stop and listen and then listen again.
Wow listened to this song before but I really heard it just now. My son gets me and that’s enough for me to stay I will fight for my life as long as I get to be in there lives to hold them when they cry and to smile when they laugh and to just be a part of there lives

Long story short-
One of my best friends committed suicide last year. I was surrounded by DEATH ☠️ on all sides. He wasn’t the first or the last. I woke up on Christmas morning thinking about him and the immediate family.,.that’s why it was spooky..but just after a year or so, hearing this song, I was able to cry, and I am so so so thankful I did.
