Never feel embarrassed about having a diverse yarn stash.. I've crocheted for 49 years and one thing i know for certain ALL YARN IS GOOD YARN and in your case being a vendor it all makes money and a gorgeous project. Loved watching.
This was a super cute video! I've made the 6DSB (and 6DKB) and I agree they're special. I used the color changing yarn cake, which, you're right, was much simpler. Yours is the prettiest I've seen!
So Beautiful!! I've thought about doing something like this but the thought of choosing the colors is overwhelming.....So enjoyed your humor and the video!!!❤
@rayettafinefrock5066 I just started mine and picking colors was almost migraine inducing for me. I don't really have a stash so I had to get some...I can only hope I got enough...only wish I had some mohair or other interesting textures to add to it. All in all I think you should bite the bullet and go for it!!
Thank you for sharing your experience with this pattern. I just started it last week and I am enjoying it so far. As for how long it takes, I treat "6 Day" the same way I would treat the word "blue" in the name of a pattern -- just because it is there, that doesn't mean it applies to me 🙂. I remember back when the 5-Hour Baby Sweater was all the rage 30+ years ago, so I take the time as a cute name only.
I love how you made the colors cohesive. I’m making the six day rainbow baby blanket. I was using colors of the month and I’m waiting for the final two colors, but I could finish a whole section in one evening, even though I modified it to make a larger blanket. The original size is a baby blanket, so it definitely could be done in 6 days or less.
Just recently I finished making a 6-day star blanket with different shades of green, it took me about 2 weeks because I had to do other stuff as well but I love it so much. Also, this video was really interesting to watch I love it😊
Hi Feeling Funky Co, i love this video so much ❤❤❤. It make me want to try this pattern too. I also love the colour that you chosen to make this blanket...😊😊😊😊
I love your blanket& all your amazing effort, looks GREAT!! You should be so proud. I had the same if not more yarns. So I've donated 2 "massive" bags to my local school, the kids can use in different project cause I know I'll NEVER use them all up. School was so grateful. I'm on a squircle blanket project at moment. Circle's made into granny squares. I'm going to try a 6 day blanket too after. Thanks for sharing
Just found your channel today. I enjoyed watching your journey in making this blanket. I didn't like the color combination on Day 1 but I was surprised to see how beautiful it has become on the following days. It is very nice to look at and I can just imagine how good it must feel having it wrapped around you. You did well!
I just found your channel!! Let me just say - your content is amazing, and it’s so fun to watch! You have such a fun and uplifting energy and I hope to see more of your content ❤
Very fun & cute video! I enjoyed seeing your planning and creating process with this blanket. Subscribed. I made her six day Christmas tree skirt I believe it’s called. I also had to use the video tutorial. Challenging but satisfying!
Ok, I absolutely loooove that blanket! I have seen so many star blankets in my crocheting days, which honestly hasn’t been that many, and I just had never been that excited about the shape. I don know what it is about your blanket that has me wanting to make one now. I love the colors and textures. So super cute, it looks like a perfect snuggly blanket! And I’m sure you get this all of the time, but I love your couch!
This turned out sooooo nice! I wasnt sure about the colour palette but it looks amazing. I did a 6 day star blanket in weight 3 cotton yarns and its heavy. It was for my little niece so it's a smaller version, took me more than 40 hours still. That was 3 months ago and while I still wanna make one for me, I am not ready yet😅.
I love this video and watching you choose the colors! Oh man the color rabbit hole is real! The colors remind me of my fave kaleidoscopes I had as a kid. Great work:)
Absolutely stunning! I love how you placed the colors. It is so beautiful. I’m inspired to give it a try. Loved your video as well. So happy it popped up in my feed.
I'm just trying to get back into crochet and came across this video. I love the colour combinations. You are a natural! My eye for colour is sadly lacking but my eyes are drinking in the beauty of this blanket. Just fabulous.
You are so funny!! I laughed out loud so many times! I’ve been thinking about making this blanket for soooo long! Yours turned out beautifully!! Thinking I need to do this with my stash!
Thank you for the reminder that all my yarn is tax right off. I teach knitting and crochet and buy a ton of yarn for that purpose and you would think that I would remember that it is a write off. Well I don't. So I will be making sure it is this week as I do my taxes. Also I started the 6 Day Star Blanket last summer and made it to I think day 2 and ha ent touched it since. I really need to pick it up again. When you said you were over it, I found that by the end of day 2 I was over it. I was using a caron cotton cake variegated to make mine. I have some of the halo cakes and I have a variegated red bernat blanket that I thought about using for a thick big blanket. I love yours. I wish I enjoyed crocheting more than amigurumi. I can knit you a blanket all day long. I can knit most anything for days on end. But crochet just doesn't do it for me. But yours is beautiful and is making me want to try again.
If you go through her blog it is 6-days to make a toddler blanket. I think this is also a covid time pattern but I love this and learned to crochet with this pattern.
Very pretty! I love red so I'm glad you put in more of that dark red from the center. I crochet and knit. From Jackson, MS. Won't the wool mat when you wash it?
I'm doing the 6daystarblanket at the moment and I think it should be called the 7daystarblanket cause it has 7 points too and a little for reasonable time 💗 your blanket looks so amazing and is so big, well done! 💗👏👏👏👏👏
I loved the star blanket, took me 7 days, used 3 colors. 2 rows for a color. Had to take a similar color , 'cause I ran out. It is 150 cm from the point of a star to the middle of points.
I wish I could figure this pattern out 🥲 the blankets are so pretty and I’ve tried all the patterns but i ALWAYS miss something around set up round 6/7 ugh!! Yours is BEAUTIFUL!
I finished a 6DSB last month and it took me like a month to finish it lol. But it came out so beautiful. I used 4 skeins of the Caron Jumbo Ombré yarn. I think I want to do different colors next time.
It turned out sooo nice! Honestly I didn’t see the vision of your colour palette at first, but it worked up so beautifully. How many balls of yarn did you use up?
Just started mine last night. I don't really have a stash so I had to buy yarn for it (i got big twist from joanns for 2.12 a skein!!). I only got 1 of each of the 12 colors i pulled..eek!
I made an 8 point Crochet Star Blanket. You can do 5, 6, 7, 8 points probably 9. Probably should of been 7 points. But yah. I expanded to 10 days and at 39 rows. I'm going to put it in for it's first wash on cold and tumble dry on low. I used it as like a "scrap yarn project". Mine turned out very gorgeous, just like yours❤. But yah, you would have to actually have to sell it for $3000.00😊
@FeelingFunkyCo I'm making a 5 point star now and another 8 point. Once you appreciate and understand the time it takes with the first one, you'll want to make more. I think that the "6 Days" is just a guide line. I don't think it was literally 6 Days. I find that the "Star Blanket" is more like a side line project because and it should be a "joyful blanket" to make. And it is joyful after you get past the concept that it should only take you 6 days. I'm still adding to mine gradually 🥰😋
Never feel embarrassed about having a diverse yarn stash.. I've crocheted for 49
years and one thing i know for certain ALL YARN IS GOOD YARN and in your case being a vendor it all makes money and a gorgeous project. Loved watching.
I appreciate that!! The part of me that loves buying yarn also appreciates that too 😂
This was a super cute video! I've made the 6DSB (and 6DKB) and I agree they're special. I used the color changing yarn cake, which, you're right, was much simpler. Yours is the prettiest I've seen!
I totally agree I’ve seen a lot of 6DSB and hers is gorgeous 😭
Thank you so much!!
Those colours go surprisingly well together it would look great on your green sofa
Thank you!!
So Beautiful!! I've thought about doing something like this but the thought of choosing the colors is overwhelming.....So enjoyed your humor and the video!!!❤
Aw thank you, I appreciate that! The color choices were def the most challenging part for me haha
@rayettafinefrock5066 I just started mine and picking colors was almost migraine inducing for me. What a beautiful blanket!! You did an amazing job with the color pallet!!!
Just found you today and I need more videos 😂 your personality is 10/10 ❤

Yes I love that mindset!
So pretty!! i love the colors and you have inspired me to do a star blanket too!
I adore your colour palette for this, I think it would be a 12-18 month blanket for me 😅I admire your persistence 🙏🏻😍
Wow!! Great blanket and video. You are so much fun to watch and your pup is such a cutie.
We both say thank you 🥰
Your blanket is so gorgeous!! Thanks for showing us the process.

I did make this blanket and it was so much fun, but with planned colors. Now I might do another with all random yarn from my collection ❤
Absolutely beautiful

Thank you! If you start back up you got thissss 🧶
Hi, I watched this video and subscribed to the channel. Great job with the blanket, it's beautiful and the color choice is cohesive.

Yess get that tax write off! 🙌🏻
If you decide to pick it up again, you got this!
Congratulations! 👏👏👏👏
Very pretty
This makes me want to frog my current project (using all of my leftover yarn from 2024) to make this pattern!
I like your vibes 😂 Subscribed 😂
Yes please! Now I must make one 🫶💙💜💕
Very beautiful blanket ❤😊
It’s beautiful!

I highly support the no time limit!!! Haha
If you go through her blog it is 6-days to make a toddler blanket. I think this is also a covid time pattern but I love this and learned to crochet with this pattern.

I get that, it can be challenging- her RUclips helped me tremendously!
this is like a PowerPuff Girls themed blanket. LOVE ❤
STOP IT I love that!!!
Great job
fun colours!

LOL I'm currently working on this blanket (have been since the end of December) and I have fave and least fave rounds too.
I’m glad someone relates!
❤ beautiful 😍
Bugger. Now I need to make one.
*whispering* doooo itttt
It turned out sooo nice! Honestly I didn’t see the vision of your colour palette at first, but it worked up so beautifully. How many balls of yarn did you use up?
Thank you!! More than I expected, probably at least 10-15!
Just found your channel! Beautiful blanket!! #heirloom
Wow, thank you
Just started mine last night. I don't really have a stash so I had to buy yarn for it (i got big twist from joanns for 2.12 a skein!!). I only got 1 of each of the 12 colors i pulled..eek!
Love your choices! Did you have to go up on hook size at all?
Yes- I began with a 4.5 and had to increase to a 5!
I’m on day 4 and I DESPISE the single crochet rows. Audiobooks have gotten me through this though which has been nice!
Understandable 😂 also a big audio book fan over here
Looks like such a fun project! Can I ask what size hook did you use?
Size 5!
The blanket is beautiful!! But where did you get your sectional? It looks so comfy!
Thank you!! It’s from IKEA, my fav couch I’ve ever owned!
I hear you about the yarn, I have so much but it’s NEVER any color that someone wants😂
I made an 8 point Crochet Star Blanket. You can do 5, 6, 7, 8 points probably 9. Probably should of been 7 points. But yah. I expanded to 10 days and at 39 rows. I'm trying to make one and I'm just wondering, how many repeats did you do?
