I'm thinking of buying this... it would without a doubt be the most expensive thing I've bought, so I just gotta get over that mental barrier , but it looks really good
Anyone knows any problem with i7 model I've seen better reviews on i5 model then the i7
now M1max is out, you can buy this with less "most expensive" pressure :p
@@papercut1987 what is m1 max
@@jasonlewis460 it's the new processor that Apple launched few weeks ago, and as always, it's pretty expensive. search for 16" macbook pro m1 max and you'll see
@@papercut1987 Yea i just saw it. Its seems awesome. What computer you prefer the Apple Macbook or the Asus produo?
I've had my eyes on this computer for over a year now and finally pulled the plug on it. Great for coding as a SDE and use it for music production too (FL Studio) and AI Rendering (Disco Diffusion & Stable Diffusion). It's definitely a lot slower than my Desktop's 3090 for Disco Diffusion, but all and all pretty good. Brightness isn't an issue, at least with mine. I think they've made improvements since the last generation one. I have the UX8402VV
When is it coming to America ! Been waiting for months. Great review brother ! Subscribed.
.
I thought typing would be an issue, as well. That would be a huge issue for me as a SDE. So I went to the B&H downtown and did a typing test with the demo unit. Surprisingly, there was no drop off in typing rate compared to my HP Spectre, which is a wider keyboard. Can't say those results will hold for everyone, but I was surprised.
Excellent review, thanks
Great video :), sorry how long does the battery last out of the package withouth anything installed?
Man, my old MSI GT70 weights, with the power supply , near 8Kg, 2.4Kg is a dream.
In my laptop, if i m touching on screen pad plus, touch effect on main screen without touchpad mode and i m unable to icon on screen pad plus. Any setting issue?
Kindly guide me plz
Hello! Can someone help me? One stand on the second screen of my laptop doesn't work anymore (kinda broken) and the second screen is kinda tilted a bit now. Does anyone know a possible solution to this?
Excellent honest, well informed and structured review, thanks. HOWEVER, what's with the BS headline of "2 Screens, 1 BIG PROBLEM". There was NO big problem mentioned and it is clearly clickbait, which most folk have a strong dislike of. Don't do yourself such a disservice.
I can´t get external monitor EIZO 279x working 10bit, in 8bit only. Any experience to use external monitor in 10bit mode with UX582?
damn, right now this laptop is at CAD3,300 / P129k here. still pretty steep but with the latest GPU, 4k output and touch? sounds very tempting.
I9, RTX3070, 32GB ram, 1TB SSD... it's basically a full fledged gaming laptop with two 4K touchscreens
Good evening tito james at wow na talaga ako sa asus laptop
I'm loving it!!!
Hi, can you please comment on the long-term battery performance and/or any other issues (if any) that may have popped up after a few months?
I had the previous version of this the ux581, battery seemed to quickly degrade after a year of moderate use, I went in to check the cycle count and it was kinda absurd, I replaced the battery after that. it might be a one off but the battery is small and im not sure the charging was optimized
Ganda naman ng laptop na to!
Ang ganda rin ng price 😁
The rtx3060 model is only 1920x1080, is that a limitation on the 3060?
I just got a zenbook pro duo and I'm running into an issue where the GPU is not being utilized by the system. Everything is running off of the integrated graphics and as a result I can't even crack 30fps on most applications, let alone high end games. How do I force the laptop to actually use the GPU it came with? Or do I just have a defect?
A week ago I bought an ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo UX582HS-H2902X and for a week now I can't make it work properly even in the browser. My UHD is overloaded when the browser has animation and I have friezes. For that price, it's just a failure. And I don't know what to do with him.
Just bought this. Delivered today. (i9, 32gb, RTX 3070, 4k OLED). It has a few odd FAULTS that I am curious whether anyone else's has:
1) there is a quiet buzz whenever the track pad is used. Very quiet, but enough to be irritating, and certainly odd. Never had this on a laptop before.
2) the screen doesn't quite fit to the bottom besel flush. So there is a gap between the screen and the bott bezel. 3) actually has the green AERO backdrop when I loaded it.
Anyone else had/have similar issues with theirs?
I had mine for 1.5 months, had none of the above.
You got a defective laptop unfortunately
@@iiveen does yours overheat ?
@@iiveen why did you get rid of it?
We're you able to get a replacement one for free?
JUST bought my Zenbook duo 14 last monday, i am having a blue screen of death and a freezing screen, tried to bring it back to ASUS to repair it, they did. When I get home I tried to use it again and to my surprise whenever I turn off the screen pad it the main monitor freezes. HELP pls. is this for a unit replacement ? im not yet off of the 7 day warranty.
get off youtube and take it back bro, jesus
TWICE got you a sub and like👐
I must have missed it, but what was the '1 BIG PROBLEM' in the title of this video?
Does not charge via USB-C…..correct?
i have a problem in rendering, when i use the laptop in CLO 3D design the laptop is slow and in rendering is also slow, and this laptop should be faster that this, what should i do, need help ??
How is the experience of using this with secondary display?
Good review.
As a new product, owners seem to have a lot of issues for the price tag I may as well get a secondhand gaming laptop which are going for cheap, nice product though, but owners issues are terrifying
Do you think the 14in duo would be great for music production...mixing,recording,etc. If so why??
Sure it is. You can drop your mixer panel or midi keyboard to the bottom screen.
For sure. You can put a keyboard and a beatpad on the bottom screen and remove the need for the physical equipment for concepts.
I had plans to get for these reason fingers crossed 🤞 it works if i get it
Saan available ang laptop na to sa pinas?
thankssssss
Sayang kakabili ko lang last year ng zenbook pro duo 2019 version .... Nakaka depresss haahahhaah .. btw nice review ... Nagustohan ko yung angle at yung rtx 3070 compared sa rtx 2060
does it support usb type c charging?
hello! do you think it's worth it to upgrade from the first UX581 model?
Not really. The UX581 is a great laptop and plus if you got the i9+2060 combo. RAM upgrade is not really an upgrade as they use the same frequency and 32gb, screen still 4K.
At the current price, I won't upgrade if I were you
Where did you get this laptop? I've been searching for it since March and can't find it on the Asus website or anywhere else.

In 2022... which is better this the ZenBook Pro Duo or Zephyrus Duo ?
idk which I'd actually want... Kinda both of a gamer and creator/editor.
Well they Zephyrus is better for both since it has better pretty much everything but it’s way more expensive
Why does no one talk about the fact that it comes with a stylus
doesn't bring a wrist pad?
Would it run my Adobe apps smoothly if I got the 3060 version? Figured it’ll be okay because it still has an i9 and 32gb ram
no it will not. you need the 3070 in terms of desktop 3070 vs 3060 is not huge. in terms of mobile it is a large difference around 35% total performance.

Are the RAMs upgradable to 64?
The keyboard and trackpad are in a perfect position personally
I bought this almost 1yr ago, it worked absolutely perfectly but I had an update 3-4 days ago and the computer has become so problematic now. The screen keeps going into sleep/hibernate mode when I'm not using it and it won't turn back on. When I close the computer lid, then open again and press the power button, it wont turn on either. When I try to power off the computer, the 2nd display screen light is still on. I have to force shutdown my computer each and every time when it freezes like that.
I also have same problem, how to fix it?
Update?
@@jesuschristfirst5775 I still have the issue and don't know how to resolve it. I'm thinking of replacing it with the warranty.
@@Flopsy253 was thinking about ordering this soon. Do you think there's a way I could turn off automatic updates whereby I can avoid this?
Also if it were to be defected as others have reported, do you get 100% money back?
@@jesuschristfirst5775 The thing is, I don't know which update caused it or if it was an update at all. It just started happening one day when I turned it back on. Asus isn't giving any info about this either so I'm thinking it could he just a faulty one.
Before this started happening, the laptop ran absolutely beautifully.
i recently bought this notebook for work and i already have some issues with it! The secondary screen behaves as a touchpad for the mainscreen . i cannot select anything on the secondary screen without the help of a mouse or the touchpad/numberpad. I made a factory reset 2 days ago and it behaves exactly the same! i made some research regarding this issue but i didn't find anything and anyone talking about something like that. Now i think i have to send it back in service even if i only had it for 15 days. Maybe i made by mistake a hidden command, without knowing it, but i really don't find how to fix it!
Same problem! Had to send mine out for a new one. Waiting to see if that will fix it! Lemme know what you figure out because it’s annoying for such a new computer to have these issues
You need ASUSScreenPad2Optimizer.
He will help!

Update: got a new one. Did nothing. Same issue. It’s one of the updates causing this….
Did you end up how to fix it!
Can using 100W PD charger ?
the trackpad is not an issue at all, you’re getting 2 screens what do people expect? just use a mouse.
Absolutely right. The only bad thing for me is the really smashed together keyboard but you don’t buy this to only type uni papers

How much hz on the screen
@Unbox PH I have been looking at this for video editing. If I don’t need to be mobile would it be better to invest in a desktop? I liked this for its touchscreen and pen but I need something that will last. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks
Desktop...
With the same budget you could get a much better desktop, if you don't need to move of course

No. You don't get much benefit from 9 cores it you're only gaming
Am in Kenya and bought the exact Zenbook here and in 6 months (June 2023) had to take into the service center here and they told me they had to replace the motherboard, 6 weeks down the line all parts arrived and they had replaced it. Currently (October 2023) I have just realised the Nvidia GPU isn't working and when I contacted their online support they guided me how to reset the laptop which I did. After that... the Nvidia GPu isn't being detected.
This clearly means I have to take to the service center again and wait 6 weeks again for parts. Luckily here in Kenya I have been speaking with the service center and also personally to the engineer plus Asus have a dedicated person online guiding me.
I just feel really frustrated after investing all this money after taking a loan so that I could grow my business and now cannot be able to get returns on my investment and landing in debt cause of it.
Bro.. uli spend kama how much for hizi repairs? Cuz ata mi I'm thinking of buying it.. but naona ma shida tu..
Warranty cover it, which is ending this week but the NVIDIA GPU died again 2 months ago so I have to rush and take it for them to replace the motherboard again. Have had too much work so sacrificing not having it back until next year has been tricky.@@mugisama779
This is an investment lalo if your working mostly on your laptop.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the biggest problems is low brightness 350 nits maximum, altho they states 450
Can it game.
Asus never ceases to amaze! I bought this toy with top-end hardware, and my surprise at the quality of this product began, opening the factory packaging, where all the seals were turned on, everything is beautiful, only the laptop turned off after half an hour of my work, it turned out that the power supply was simply dead, right out of the box the laptop worked on the rest of the battery and turned off. I checked the power supply unit on it with a tester 0, (zero). I bought a new unit, the laptop worked, after that I call the service and ask for a new power supply, since this one is dead, they tell me that they should take the laptop from me for verification, they cannot separately check the power supply.
Further more! I began to check the laptop screen for dead pixels, I found such a small dot on the screen for five pixels, I began to check what it was, it turned out to be dirty on the screen glass, a speck of dust, damn it, okay.
We continue, when turned on, it periodically turns on the fans to the fullest, the blue screen of death flies out, and reboots, so it's normal.
And a special thank you for the wonderful touchpad with luminous numbers, this is a separate song, you just can’t use it, from the word at all, when you click on any number, anything is pressed, but not the number you need, try 1234567890 this is the usual keyboard, now our miracle 1 ,,, 5568690, well, it’s lovely, really, it’s very convenient, and the mouse twitches and skips, scrolling with two fingers periodically doesn’t work, well, like on the previous asus.
But in general, a good laptop, you can heat the room with it on cold winter evenings. So take it, don’t think, there will be a lot of impressions.
A week ago I bought an ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo UX582HS-H2902X and for a week now I can't make it work properly even in the browser. My UHD is overloaded when the browser has animation and I have friezes. For that price, it's just a failure. And I don't know what to do with him.
Really want this one, but does anyone experienced any Oled burn in issue if you own the previous one and used it for couple years? I planning to use this through college, and I’ll be doing a lot 3D work and photo editing
I owned the previous version UX581 for two years and I have the new UX582 on order with Amazon USA. I experienced no noticeable OLED burn-in. The OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous and color accurate. My use is many hours a day with DaVinci Resolve Studio, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Visual Studio.
@@garycoombs797 what do you mean burn oled issues?
Ahoyyy
Yes, for people who buy this laptop, it got to be the software not just extra real estate. Software that helps you multitask like no other device can. That's why reserved one.

I'm sorry, did he say 200,000 peso?

Amazing laptop! I love Asus. For me though, if I wanted a computer like this I'd just buy a desktop. It's, I don't know, 1/3rd the price? I think moving around $3000 of tech for 3-4 years is irresponsible.
you are looking at a laptop. if you want a desktop, get a desktop.
laptops sacrifice performance and cash for the sake of portability. if portability isn't a concern for you then why the hell wouldnt you get a desktop? It's like complaining that your truck came with a flatbed, just get a sedan at that point my guy.
this product is probably more designed for graphic design/ art students and content creators on the go

If you're a gamer don't get this laptop. Get the Asus Rog Zephyrus Duo 15 SE
Is that good for content creators?
That’s more suited for gamers but I would recommend this laptop over the rog series
@@therumbling5615 The display is much better on this line IMO, the Zephyrus has a huge chin and these panels on the Zenbook Duo Pro are nearly seamless. But it’s 60hz. Not a dealbreaker

4k is over rated. Same with refresh rates over 60hz. 1080 @60hz is absolutely still the way to go. That is at leaset until hardware catches up to make the experience of 4K @144hz extremely smooth without taxing the hardware so much.

UX582 appears to cater towards the 1% elite individuals….$200,000 philippine pesos for i9 is insane! Does it come with a gold stylus? Geez.
Click bait!
This laptop is total crap
Waste of money
Here are the failures of this laptop.
1)For a high end laptop like this would expect it to have a FINGERPRINT SENSOR,for unlocking it.But nope it lacks ,an area that hp covers well. They want you to use the web cam for unlocking the unit which ain't good for some of us who like covering it due to privacy issues
2.The laptop i expected would come with a type C charger at least due to its high end price ,but its a disappointment.🤦♀️🤦♂️
3.)The laptop pen isn't magnetic like that of the Hp spectre which makes it easy to get lost.U can't even charger the pen which i thought wud be chargeable via usb C like how Hp spectre does🤦♂️🤦♀️🤷♂️
5.) This is something i have noticed in most new laptops. Now that the power button is incorporated in the keyboard keys, it would be great if it was colour coded, to distinguish it from the other keys
I REALLY HOPE THE UX583 CAN FIX THIS.
MY ADVICE IS TO SKIP
#THIS ONE AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. VERSION
today, we can't push more than 100W through an usb c, so any laptop requiring more than 100W won't be able to use usb c as a primary charging connector, next iteration of the port will be able to push 240W tho
brightness lower than razer
@@felixliu1053 that's because it's an oled panel, that's a know issue with oled, alongside being quite slow and having risks of burn in, that's why micro led is being pushed
