I think that, like... in theory, the way they pace this episode is so weird, and strange. It's all in slo-mo, suddenly the narrator explains everything, and in the midst of this sick Netero attack you get yet another delay with a full backstory; but it's all so good, and I don't know how it works, but it absolutely does.
Love that she reacted to the "Dragon Dive" voice line- it's one of those things that you can't explain to someone else who hasn't watched HxH and doesn't "get it".
Man Netero is such a fucking hardass. I love his development in the Chimaera arc. I still remember when the dude said "You'll likely get beat by one of his royal guard with that nen level", as if he had any clue what Netero is about.

The direction for this part of the arc just worked so well cause it’s basically as if you were reading the manga panels. Everything that’s written is narrated out, the backstory, explanation of the actions, what the characters are thinking. It makes ‘tell, not show’ work.
I guess it’s because the following episode as well all took part in the span of one minute or something. There’s another RUclips video that shows the four (I think) different perspectives of the palace invasion scene meshed into one screen. Narration usually wouldn’t work or it would sound too tacky, but it carried this arc or scenes at least
Colt doesn't really understand. Yeah, the ants probably have more nen than Netero, but they are basically newborn babies and he's been fighting for nearly a hundred years. The difference in experience and technique is more important than merely having more nen.

In case nobody noticed until now, Neteros voice actor was changed for this arc. The previous voice actor passed away sadly due to old age. The current voice actor is a friend of the previous one and they've worked together.
Also a fun fact- the older voice actor (he was 82, new one is probably in his 60s now, was 52 then) and the newer one played a father-son characters in Gundam. And after the old va passed away, the baton was passed from "father to son".

@@chibisphere I don't see it, you have to have a sense of curiosity and Silva is too much of a business man, tycoon type. It was probably Milluki or Kalluto.
Plus, Silva stated his lack of f*cks given when his dad starts rambling 😋

I think its most likely that Netero continued his 10k punchers per day until this time, as an additional condition for his hatsu. It was just that he spent all that time getting it down to where he could finish it quickly anywhere. I believe he had to continue doing 10k per day the rest of his life to power this Hatsu, given the exponential power it displays and efficiency with which he can use it. Its not just that its seemingly indestructible and able to push back powerful such powerful characters as the ants that makes it impressive, but how often and quickly he can use it

I think Zeno was talking to Milluki. It's probably when Netero came to ask Zeno for help so Milluki as probably asking bunch of questions and he also eats alot.
Nigga he's talking to the audience. He kinda steals the narrators job for a second basically.
Considering he's explaining how Pitou could hear Netero saying a whole sentence in the fraction of a second it took for her ability to activate, it doesn't make any sense that he's talking to Milluki. He's explaining to us, the audience, how she heard Netero speaking in that fraction of a second. Zeno is basically breaking the 4th wall to explain "anime time" to us.

@@PlanetaryPluto His explanation was entirely solid, but that doesn't make it true. Zeno happens to be explaining something relevant, which is unsurprising, but is also beneficial to his grandchildren to know. And Zeno is more than happy to share his knowledge at his age--contrasting Silva who hasn't reached that more lax state-of-mind from the years put in.
Both could be true, and there's no definite answer. This isn't like Hisoka breaking the fourth wall; he killed everyone, so he could've only been talking to us. But both are valid, if you wanna believe it.
