- Hi Everyone! Finally getting this complete Tell All video out to you guys to answer all my most asked questions. I'm finally breaking down the history of the After The Island podcast; how it started, and all the hurdles and set backs we’ve faced with this after show. I wanted to be super honest with you all about everything that has happened and give you an inside look at the wild journey this has had for us.

I had not realized so much time has passed since my wife and I discovered Love Island during the pandemic, when our regular shows stopped production. We certainly are not your typical demographic. It was also during the pandemic that I started paying attention to RUclips for the same reasons. We had lots of time to kill and discovered new formats. We really enjoyed your podcasts and truly only watched your channel for interviews. It really helped us change the way we watch the show and not judge people for the way they act, realizing that production manipulates everything. Through your podcast, I feel like we got a better understanding of who the cast members truly are - amazing young people. I wonder if Love Island Producers did not endorse your show because you were providing too many trade secrets and they could not control your content. Possibly discouraging cast members from appearing for some reason?? Keep up the good work. All the best to you and Alex going forward.

Ugh it feels like production ripped you both off which as a viewer I hate to learn. Like they took your PowerPoint, thanked you for your ideas and contributions, and kept yall on the outskirts. I respect you both so much for pursuing this with your hearts!! Production doesn’t know what they missed out on (they don’t care and it’s their loss).
This podcast is FUN. It was always fun. As long as love island is airing I’ll be coming here to hear input from the OG

Maybe rely less on interviews of new islanders/winners + instead invite other influencers & LI super fans to review episodes with you. That’ll solve the problem of islanders not wanting to appear on ATI loI. Hell, I’m still waiting on the ATI x Queen E collab. 😊
Love this video! I wish love island would have went with you and Alex, it would have been so much more relatable with past contestants/winners/finalists. Can't wait for the studio and in person guests!

Yall always had the BEST cast elimination interviews. Always neutral, a safe space for them, and interesting bc we always got something we didn’t see on the show. I did prefer those over the reviews, went to ATI for cast interviews and then other pods for reviews. All in all, I wish you all got paid a lot more for these
And honestly I wish all former love island cast members were like you and Alex
I really appreciate your honesty and I’m so glad you’re still keeping the podcast. I think it would be great if you could produce two episodes a week since LIUSA always has so many plot twists, but I’ll take what I can get lol. ❤ Also, I love that youre honest during episode reviews and if the cast want to act snooty and butt hurt by not coming on the podcast, oh well! That just proves to you and us viewers that their head is swollen. Can’t wait for this upcoming season!

I had commented on the IG page asking about Alex. Just letting you know I just watched the video! Thank you for sharing these updates and behind the scenes stuff we didn't know about. I do wish Justine and Cely would have at least responded to you even if they weren't going to do the show. But I know everyone handles things differently.

This has changed my opinion of the people from last LIUSA! I feel like you girls are the queens and the original OG’s of love Island, USA! We watched that first season and loved you guys. we were so happy to see your aftershow and it felt like you feel the way that “the people” feel. It explains a lot about these people! I sure hope Leah can come off of this show and stay a little humble! Her popularity is crazy, but I love her and don’t want to see her go down that nasty path! There are a lot of us small people who make these people who they are!
After all, (no offense to you, you guys) but we’re not talking Brad Pitt and Anne Hathaway here! Reality TV stars who are a dime a dozen! You girls have always kept it real! Keep it up and I hope things pick up for you guys! Thank you for explaining where you’ve been!
One thing I know regardless of this negative talk regarding Cely and Justine they will still be cool with Elizabeth because she knows they are not petty and will still follow her regardless. Just really wish you could have talk to them before this also they have a right to feel a way just like you Elizabeth. 😑

And I have still been cool with them :) and never unfollowed them either? I think it is important to call out what happened since I did reach out. I also have a right to talk about how everything made me feel and that I didn’t feel any support from them. Nothing wrong with that.
I personally love the honesty! So few influencers are wiling to be this open and transparent. You did it in such a respectful and genuine way.
Good business practice would be to celebrate those who did show up for you. No one owes you anything and for the longevity of your podcast your movement have to be different. I can only imagine the amount of ppl who are turned down or declined for interviews. It’s hella unprofessional to announce ppl who didn’t want to sit down with you. It’s equally crazy because there may have been a time in the future that they would’ve. Journalism 101, never make private negotiations public.

I am really bummed to hear all of this. I really enjoyed the recaps the next day after the episode and getting to chat and recap. No one else does it that I like listening to.
This absolutely breaks my heart. I love how you support Alex no matter what. I honestly loved y’all’s videos more than the show cause I wanna share my thoughts with other people. I’ve noticed the show not acknowledging yall which is so messed up. Peacock/love island execs dead ahh wrong. They should have been sending people straight to yall and paying yall.

I think not everybody was able to have the same experiences as you guys did. You guys were the first, some of these people just came on for clout after seeing how popular the show was going. So they arent really auethetic and dont want people to know that
Also, another series you could do is where is everyone now from season 1. I would love to see the original cast and what they have going on now.

I love this podcast! I am not shocked about Justine and Cely lack of response. They let things go to their head and I am not a fan of Justine anymore because she really has changed.
Just to say I loved your podcast out of the others and that is the truth but I just had to say how I felt about why they may have not wanted to come on your show after the games because of how they were treated which affected their mental health a bit. I did notice you deleted my comment earlier because it was real but if you can be brutally honest with them we should be about to you guys. You don’t know how people mental health is after the show it’s not always about your feelings . You should not judge them when they had such a horrible ending in a show by being bash sorry not sorry.
I have been here since day 1. Neither Alex, nor Elizabeth ever judged anyone. I am an After The Island STAN and always will be. The good vibes this channel brought that summer during the pandemic… literally saved lives.
I have been there from day one as well and I seen every podcast it was very good but changed a little towards the end whenAlex left. I am mostly talking about the reason why Cely and Justine most likely declined to be on the after show . After being bash by almost all the cast member for a games show they were in towards the end and to still here people saying things about on the after show because they were choose to be their together just like other people that were friends on the show but they stuck together. But to come off and they both stated especially Cely that it really affected her mental health to the point she had to get off SM for a while to get her mental together. So they should understand why they choose this time to not go on after it affected them deeper then others because they were the only ones bashed. It is what it is them not being in her show had nothing to do with Alex or Elizabeth it was not personal it was how they felt after and if they can’t understand that and put themselves in their shoes I don’t know what to say.
I just took time to write a response but it seems I was deleted and it was not negative...just real which is sad because I have supported these two from day one... ❤oh well blessings

The whole situation is sad I wish Cely and Justine would of just called her or text and said with everything that happen I am not comfortable going in the show this time do to how I felt after the show in hopes that would of solved it. At the same time she needs traction back so why not say something about a cast member that decline in a negative light to use to promote my show coming back so I get it and I see it 👀
Yes my comment was actually not negative at all. I'm older and found LI usa during Covid so followed them both since and saw all their post show interviews. Love me some Alex and miss her and hope she will be OK. Essentially my point was now they are older and wiser and because they were on the show and experienced what happens after..
That is why people who come off the show will be even more hurt by the comments.. More so than a Podcaster or RUclipsr they do not know. I also follow and love Justine and Cely who like Alex now both protect their mental health and each other. They are both also working hard on their solo careers and even when they did love games and did commentary and shared it they were still careful 🧐 and they both went through so much negativity... I also said there were great people who came on like Bergie who is even in the comments...and said why are you doing it? If it's for the love ❤️ then things will come...it's the business they are in and I thanked Elizabeth for mentioning Queen in her commentary of LI Games...

The reality is that Justine and Cely have their own podcast why would they go on yours? There are sooo many podcast and after this why would any islander want to sit with you , you seem a little messy.

@merona1546 It was moreso them recapping LI Games episodes from their perspective. It was on Justine's channel and called "Comfy Couch". Justine is working on starting a podcast called "Just saying" There is an instagram page for it but it's not out yet.
They disbanded their podcast years ago. They stop mid or the end of season 4 I believe.
