Using the old 5 lb fragrance jugs is such a good idea for extra wax and to use those bottles for something else! After I wipe out my pitchers I keep the waxy paper towels and use them as fire starter which has been great because I definitely use way too many per pitcher 😅 Hopefully pouring the extra wax into one of those containers will help reduce that!
