It's a pleasure to see a person who enjoys looking at classic bikes. I feel identified, at least here in Spain, I am the weirdo of bicycles. I can see on the street the latest carbon bike and behind it a bike from the 40's that weighs 20 kg and I'll stare at the latter stunned. I have to tell you that I have never seen a bike as beautiful as the Hercules. Greetings from Spain.
Greetings from California, Alvaro! Thanks for watching! I agree, I'm always looking at the older bikes and I've been getting into the 1940's bikes lately. That Hercules did turn out great!
You are getting an education with these new finds. Lots of work to find the necessary parts to fit that one to an adult. Good luck. Thanks for sharing.
Cool find, just my size! Boy at heart middle aged dad in appearance 😊 Are you thinking about a restoration project for this one or does the welded pedal put the brakes on (pun intended)?
Hey Tom! I think the shipping to send the bike to England would cost more than the value of the bike! :) Check out this video to see what I've done with it: ruclips.net/video/450MhMzsoXE/видео.html

Hey, Mark! Yep, just ordered a longer seat post- If that can get me proper leg extension, I’ll start hunting for other parts. It keeps me busy. :)

Hey, Dan! I ordered a longer seat post, so if that gets it into a rideable configuration for me, I will restore and ride it!

I think my first bike might have been a Huffy.
Not uncommon.
I didn't get a Huffy until middle school. A big, green three speed I was still taking to high school.
@@bikestrikesrazors If I remember correctly, I upgraded from the Huffy to a Schwinn after we moved from Corona to Garden Grove when I was 12.
Gas pipe, not "stovepipe".
Ah yes!! Thanks for the correction!
