@@RoverWaters Actually, I think you'll find that's not strictly true. I read recently that Freddie Mercury initially wrote a few of them, which Brian May then transitioned to guitar. Nothing wrong with a bit of collaboration, though - especially between two (four in total) such great talents :-)
@@davidf6326 he transitioned riffs like death on two legs. Brian always wanted to write a solo for every song he even wrote a solo for his diss track xd

I’ve always thought of it as Brian’s farewell solo to Freddie.. it is located towards the very end of the track list on Freddie’s last album (he was alive for)

Oh, the solos he played in 2008 with Q+PR were perfection. Rosemont (Chicago) Allstate Arena - the cleanest, most precise and yet emotional playing I've ever heard. Not one squeak. Just tone and tune. Many many thanks Brian!

Brian, I could see you drifting back in time as you were playing Bijou, and it almost brought a tear to my eye. How you can almost make your guitar cry. Brian, we still love you. I've been a fan since I first heard one of your songs played on the radio back in the day. You have got to be widely accepted as one of those rare creatures: a guitar god! My Bijou is one of my favorite Queen songs -- it's amazing how you can make that guitar cry.
