this track accompanied superb acting. all you see is his face in the scene, and he goes from furtive yearning to deep disappointment in a matter of seconds, letting viewers know that, in fact, she did not look back at him. its a small moment, but you can tell it breaks his heart all over again.
Thank you so much for putting this beautiful soundtrack on You Tube!! I loved the movie and am so happy to now have the soundtrack. Love all the comments....
Beautiful example of the influence of Arvo Pärt and his compositional technique of tinrinnabuli. This piece captures the same spirit as his own Für Alina.
To be fair, the carriage didn't have a back window and she would have had to lean out of the side window in a very awkward way if she wanted to actually look back.
Hello All,

Perhaps I've seen the series too many times... I can already hear Thornton's lines just by listening to this.

I cant stop re-watching the series!
I was furious when I found out this series was only four episodes long. The ending was cut off far too quickly.
This track, his look towards her retreating carriage... It's enough to rip my emotions to shreds 😭😭😭💔
Listening to it brings tears to my eyes. Martin Phipps, thank you so very much.
when she didnt looked back at him I was like "Ughh y Margaret"
Did you yell, "Look back at him!" like I did? So frustrated with her.
