- In this first look video, we tell you everything about the newly launched Ather Rizta including its quality, features, spaciousness, boot storage and seating comfort. Priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (introductory), the Ritza aims to attract ICE buyers who are otherwise going to ICE alternatives. It's claimed to offer segment's biggest seat and under seat storage along with multiple accessories options.

Standard 7inch touch screen costs only ₹1500/- (wholesale). Then Y no centre stand given, it's a headache to fix flat tyres. Only few service centre has the lift jokey, these guys charge ₹400/- for tyres puncture
Electric scooters are undergoing continuous evolution, and I am eager to be a part of this journey. However, companies tend to price them significantly higher, often exceeding double the manufacturing cost, in pursuit of greater profits. Moreover, the technology employed in companies such as Ola and Ather is not yet fully reliable; occasional updates and the use of low-grade parts compromise the reliability of these scooters, contrasting with the established track record of reliability from companies like TVS and Honda, which have garnered public trust. Therefore, paying a premium for low-quality products seems unjustifiable.
Additionally, the charging infrastructure in our country requires significant development. Traveling long distances on electric scooters demands careful planning, unlike the convenience offered by traditional scooters. Furthermore, while companies focus on longer seats, they overlook the importance of seat width, which becomes inconvenient for individuals traveling approx. 30 kms or more daily.
While electric scooters hold promise, they are still in the process of evolution and require price stabilization. For now, traditional scooters offer a more sensible choice for long-distance travelers, providing reliability and alleviating concerns about breakdowns, at least for the next 3-5 years. It's advisable not to be swayed solely by influencer endorsements and instead prioritize practical considerations.

Biggest problem of Ather is availability . Still, Ather is not able to make their products available in many district level cities. Their is not point in buying Ather from a showroom 100-150 km from your native place. Ola, TVS, Bajaj, okinawa, Bounce infinity have better dealar network than Ather
The major drawback, which is a deal-breaker for me, is the absence of a rear disc brake. You also missed highlighting this. Ather unique feature was the disc brakes on both wheels; ather was the first to introduce such a feature in scooter (now, not even one petrol scooter has it).
Disc brakes are crucial, whether it's a scooter, motorcycle, or car. All-wheel disc brakes are a significant feature, for which I would sacrifice five other features.

Hi Rohiet Thakur, Ather ke 450 series me rear wheel me disk brake aate hai, ather ne hi sabse pahle ye shuru kiya tha. petrol me to ab bhi nahi aate.
maine yahi kaha ki ather ne ek benchmark set kiya tha rear wheel me disk deke ab wo bhi bakiyo jaisa ho gayi khud ko downgrade karke. rear wheel disk is very big feature.
Atul Sharma ji, feature always do category me hote hai, hardware and software. best hardware + best software is optimum, best hardware+ average software is fine, Bad hardware + best Software is bad choice.
achar mai nahi khata, aap shayad zyada khate hai so uski khatas ki wazah se ek proper feedback ko grab karne me fisal gaye apka skid control kaam nahi kiya.
A family scooter is one where you can also take ladies as pillion riders. Some of them sit sideways. Is that option available?

How this scooter would be for my parents? They are in their 60s. They live in a tier 3 city, so driving won't be too much. Charging won't be a problem. The boot capacity looks quite good for a weekend sabji mandi trip. I'm concerned about weight, safety of being an electric scooter and overall durability and longetivity since this would be the first electric vehicle for us.
How will be service quality in small cities?
@@navdeepsingh6756 Yeah that's also we'll have to see. I checked on their website that they have 1 dealer in my city. I assume they provide service and repairs too and not just sales. But no idea about quality of service.

Ather products look cheap where it matters, look at the entire screen, the switches, I wish they do something good like Ola. Yes, people do comment on Ola as slim and I am sure they will also come up with a broader model to address the demands. The range of both these brands and others in India are offering too less like 120-170 kms range. It is time we get a range of 200+ for people to opt for Electric over ICE scooters. I own an Ola and I am happy with it but 125 is less. 2 issues which is not so appealing to the mass public is the unavailablity of fast charging capabilities in small towns, highways, and even cities. 2. The range is less, in future we will have far better ranges with companies concentrating on powerful batteries. 3. Off & on subsidies from the govt are not helping the sales either. The subsidies should be big and consistent for the country to opt for EV. Removing subsidies and expecting growth in EV does not make sense. On one hand the transport minister wants to make India an EV country but the Finance Minister removes the existing subsidies do not go well for the public or the industry. We all need EV and we should phase out all ICE vehicles gradually.

Payload capacity is only 150 kg . That means only 2 people with 75 kg can sit forgot about children or any other load
Thanks for info. That's what I was looking here. So it means there is no perfect electric scooter available for family use. Family means atleast a couple and one child.
Think befoe booking the necessary parts are not available at service centers all over India.

The Rizta looks like TVS I-Qube from front, I think (which is not a bad thing). Now it has a more Scooterish looks than Ather.

Raat mei Charge lagega,aur agle din full available. Hafte mei ek baar charge nahi karna hota hai Phone Jaise charge karna hota hai, daily.
Ek din mei 100km koi nahi chalta seher mei.
Screen ka kaam Sirf Information dikhana hai,aaj kal log har cheez mei phone jaisa smooth dhoondhte hai.
Battery mei aag local ev mei hi hai
Aur glt tarike se charging karne se bhi hai
