About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / insense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

Ah yay first review!! Thanks so much for such a comprehensive video 💜💫 The Miss Dior Cherie I was inspired by was the previous Miss Dior Cherie which had silver writing on, before they had Natalie Portman.
Ps- I put the sticker on the sample to make sure the lid doesn’t come off in the post
I’ve also been thinking recently that it has some coco mademoiselle vibes. My mum wears that so maybe it was subconscious !

I believe the version of Miss Dior Cherie that had the popcorn was the one before the one that you have without the white label, just with the name written on the bottle (2005). The next version didn't have it.
I'm excited to try her new perfume. I think she was aiming for a similar vibe but something that will last a long time. Thanks for your thoughts!

yes lol people always mixed up with the white label version, the ORIGINAL Miss Dior Cherie is the one just with the silver wordings on !!!!! pleaseeeee dont mixed it up again haha

I did order the perfume.
I trust Soki tadtes but she prefers and is an advocate for designer scents. I prefer perfumes with more raw materials.

I have tried Soki’s Empress again and I must say that I have to adjust my opinion on Soki’s fragrance. I have to admit that the fragrance is growing on me and I can smell the fruity notes which seems to last and has longevity, but is a very subtle fragrance which smells nice.

I think patchouli is nessesary it makes a perfume last , and Soki knows that. I think it's a compliment to be compared to Thierry Mugler fragrances yet it's nothing like Angel . I think the patchouli is done right and not dirty or over powering 😊 I love it !! I am happy to see reviews on her perfume. Thankyou for your review 😊
currently waiting for mine :). Do you think that the popcorn note may have faded in the vintage ones over the years...i remember being wowed by it when it first came out and it must have been 2006ish based on where i remember it.
It’s possible I suppose, I always assumed I just perceived it differently but I never smelt it when it was available.

I agree I received mine and wanted so much to like it but unfortunately that patchouli made me want to gag, it smells a lil to mature for me and now I'm stuck with it, I will try it again when it gets really cold but I don't think I can do it
I'm interested but also scared because I love Soki's reviews and descriptions of perfumes but find that we have completely opposite taste in perfumes. If she really likes something, I usually don't and vice versa.

Just got mine today. Maybe it is just me but I was expecting something that smells like Miss Dior Cherie. Maybe it doesn’t work with my chemistry. The longevity is good but I was very disappointed with how it smelled. I can only smell the patchouli now. I smell no fruit or popcorn. Smells nothing like Miss Dior Cheri. If you like a very subtle patchouli fragrance this is for you. By the time I paid for the perfume and the shipping it cost me $100.00.
I’ve got the full bottle and I’m still not sure about it. I love Sophie, and all the notes of Empress, but so far it’s a bit too syrupy or something for me. 😢

I just received mine today and I don’t know what I think about it either. It’s almost like it just has too much going on for me and I just can’t pinpoint what it smells like.
To my nose it smells like a gourmand MDC! With a bit of patchouli.

Would you recommend this perfume
Depends on your taste. I won’t be buying it because it’s not my particular genre. If you like fruity patchouli scents then you may well like it. Ideally try to sample if you can.
