19:19 This guy could be famous in upcoming years. He is promising
Yes, he IS promising indeed.
Think he could be a real candidate for World's Number One DJ by the time 2006 rolls around.,
this was amazing to watch I wish there were updates every 10 years of this doc lol if anybody has any suggestions help me out
Might be an idea to make Berliner Trance 2 - 30 years on.... be quite interesting to see whether expectations for the future were met!
Gracias Michael,por exponer esta joya.
Amazing quality! Thank you
Thanks to german artists a new genre was born. They turned Techno into Trance.
But there leaving out the important part of the ambience sequences. Trance in the 70s was always referenced in ambient music where producers used dreamy, melodic, drifting sequences and pads, that all someone had to do was speed it up, and put a kick and bass behind it. Ambient music definitely had a huge influence on trance!
@@prestigious5s23 True. Trance origins are Techno and Ambient.

"lost" classic? I remember watching (and downloading, must still have it in some corner of my disk) this more than a decade ago in Google Video. That's right, GOOGLE VIDEO, not RUclips.
But kudos for releasing it again and in good quality!
Yes I remember Google Videos and RUclips being their separate platforms, I quite miss Google Videos to be honest, they had some very interesting stuff on there!
Google video was also the first place I watched this documentary!
Excellent documentary!! Thanks for sharing.

So, when the wall came down, we're West Germans completely free to listen to and enjoy any and all trance music or were there still some regulations?
The wall came down 4 years before this documentary was made
@@norepetitivebeats oh, nice! 💙 What I mean to ask though is we're West Germans allowed to listen to any and all kinds of music after or were there still regulations for it?
@@HalcyonxTeatree I think the wall coming down signified the end to communist control of Germany so I think they could listen to whatever they liked from that point. All the best underground club very quickly sprung up in eastern Germany
@@HalcyonxTeatree you surely mean East Germans? 😉
When the wall came down, there was one Germany again. So yes, all the communist restrictions were gone
a unique glimpse into the beginnings of house and deep house musique.

House and Deep House both began in Chicago, NOT Berlin.

The beginning is so stereotypical Germany.
Culture Rave
lol most techno was harder and faster back then, but today it's definitely very spacy too, you don't need trance to space out 👽😛
Maybe, but trance do it in a very special and intense way, techno is too limited
Trance is cool as techno
Techno was coined by Talla2xlc in the late 80's in Frankfurt when he created a section for records in his shop. It was taken from the electro pop scene with bands such as kraftwerk. It was slow and industrial.
@@TheTrancemaster90 then you have to listen to dub-techno. There’s nothing limited to that. And very much sophisticated
@@fonkemoller check my techno playlist on my channel, I think is quite different from the standard techno that can be heard on festivals
this is not your content btw! even its a legendary docu!
Music is way too loud during the interviews
you are right. but i assume, no one will get it fixed after all this time.
I can still hear what is being said.
