'Just Awake' is an ending theme song for the anime 'HUNTERxHUNTER.'

The name of the band 'Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas' is, in fact, based on the movie 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'...but it has nothing to do with the storyline of the movie. They just chose the name ( almost ) everyone is familiar with...or so I read. :)

If I’m remembering correctly, the bands name was chosen by their ex guitarist (Sxun). Apparently he chose it because other bands were using film titles as their band names, and I believe the clean singer (So) uses something called vocoder.

yes, the band name is based on the movie name, once the ex-guitarist called a CD store to reserve a copy and he said "do you have Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas?" and the employee responded "i don't have a band with such a name", so that's what inspired him to put this name to the band
As a fan of FaLiLV since 2012, I'll correct you for this one.
At some point in 2008, bands during that time were hopping on to the trend of naming themselves after a movie so for this case, one of themembers of the Falilv decided to take in Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas (take note of the comma or this band would have faced some legal issues if they didn't put it in lol) as their offical name.
The one you're referring is when Sxun (ex-lead guitarist of Falilv) asked for a copy of his band's new cd (i think this was New Sunrise album) but due to the unusual name of such, he got a response of "I've never heard of such band before."

So they have 3 different singers in the band actually. One who does the growls and the one that does the autotune. But then sometimes one of the guitarists will sing. They are SUPER different in terms of style. "Let me Hear" probably their most well known song is actually like 4 songs in one. I love their energy though.

@@phillipclark6463 I've heard a couple of songs, but I haven't really taken the time to explore more of them. The ones I heard are pretty awesome though. I didn't use Crossfaith as another example, because I honestly don't know much about the band yet.

There’s aspects of this song I liked a lot and a few I didn’t as much. But I’m sure if I listened to it a few times I’d like all of it. All in all a fun song.

@@JwLinberg7788 interesting that FALILV make word 'autotune' famous for them bcs of So's extreme effect use, people directly point that out just bcs So's robotic vocal style, "oh...that must be called autotune, his voice autotuned".
Autotune is pitch correction software and i believe all singers/vocalists use autotune on their recording to perfecting the final tracks, it's kinda like not fair to say "the only vocally autotuned i accept"

Well...according to the 300 pages of their interview booklets, So the blond vocalist ( who's a genius with machinery ) loved this autotune so much he even wrote a thesis on it before graduation. And Minami the screamer actually sings/screams in his 100 % natural voice. :O
Um, if...you are still into them, may I suggest that you react to Thunderclap and/or Virtue and Vice or...if you are into anime, Keep the Heat and Fire Yourself Up the intro they did for an anime show where the story's set in the old time China ?

Well, it was their manager who encouraged So to use autotune in the first place even though he used to be singing in his natural voice in the early stage of his musical career. ( Minami was also asked to try it but...he outright refused. Said it was just...not his style. ) ^_^
From what i know, most singers use autotune (pitch correction tools) in studio recording, but what So using is extreme effect that nowadays called "t-paining style" that make his vocal robotic (or maybe he use vocoder for that effect? I'm not sure).
I'm not sure if scream vocal need autotune too, but minami's scream has pitch level (which is amazing!), maybe he use it, or maybe not....not sure..
@@beccabecca7024 From what I can see from the videos So uploaded to VEGASTATION, it seems he takes ANYTHING apart and can make it into something completely different, so....I'm starting to wonder if he has made his own custom-made autotune ( or vocoder or whatever ). XD
As for Minami's screaming hard vocals, I can assure you that he does 'not' use any of that sort as we can see ( in some videos of their live performances ) that he screams/growls 'that way' even when his microphone is away from his mouth. :O

PS. You know...around the time when all the members first met each other when they were still teenagers, Tomonori the drummer once called So 'an AI droid' because of his GREAT LOVE for any kind of machinery... XD

So, I enjoy this band, and it definitely requires some getting used to the auto-tune/vocaloid. One thing you said though, that "he can actually sing because he's hitting those lows..." Just wanted to point out, different singers. The auto-tuned guy only sings in that style. The low tunes and screams come from the keyboardist. Totally different people.
Autotune, vocaloid, and vocoder are different stuffs, btw...
