That’s crazy. I love this stuff and I’m oily / combo. I don’t have to do a lot of skin prep. I slap this stuff on with a flat top brush and go. I thought you’d love it.
I just got it in shade 4, it’s Absolutely Amazing! My skin is very oily and makes it look perfect just with the balm like a no makeup makeup clean girl look, or full glam with Huda Beauty Faux Filter… it’s Perfection!
Sam! I want you to try the universal shade as a primer in your t-zone and then use your foundation on top. I PROMISE you, your mind will change! We have the same skin issues which is why I watch you.
👍 exactly! And the universal balm applied over a tinted moisturizer also works perfectly. Danessa deserves to win a product of the year award with Yummy Skin Blurring Balm! 😍
I am an oily gworlie, and I love this balm!!! I even went so far as to purchase a darker shade in the balm to use as a bronzer. Lol but I will say that when my skin is running on the drier side it doesn’t look as good as when my face is prepped moisturized and hydrated so there’s that.
So it definitely isn’t for dry skin (and I have dry skin lol). BUTTTTT I preferred this with a damp beauty blender and it looked so good. Skin prep was VERY important. I’m going to try this with an oil as a primer or using a hydrating essence in lieu of a primer then putting this on. It was nice to not have to use a powder with this. Oh and also, this was a really nice primer in my t-zone as well.
Yessss an oil primer works excellent with this product! I use Danessa’s beauty oil or her yummy skin serum and I can tell the difference when I don’t use it. I don’t see it as “extra work” SKIN PREP IS MY PRIMER. I’m dry and skin prep is always the most important part of my makeup routine. -wash face -eye cream -beauty oil or yummy skin serum.
@@SpaceOutlaw_ it really isn’t…since I have dry skin my normal skin prep is making sure Immy skin gets the moisture is needs. So it’s not anything extra for me.
@@SpaceOutlaw_ not every product will be good for all over every face, that's insane. It's meant for the t zone or oily areas. Use sumn else if ur hella dry. Y'all... cmon 😭 it's literally epsolite
I got shade 3 which was way too light for summer. But I've figured out that I can't use it all over, so the lighter shade works. I only use it as a primer, in the center of my face for the oil control. And I stay away from the sides of my nose, because it looks crazy there by the end of the day. Its a fussy formula, not as effortless as its meant to be.
I have shade 4 and 5. I used up 4 and just hit pan on 5 today. The colors are flexible and I use it with my fingers and set with powder and I’m good to go. I have oily combo skin and I love it!! If I want more coverage I use it under my foundation ❤
I use the balm powder in the shade Universal and it controls my oils, and looks so pretty on my skin. I work 12 hour shifts in the ER and I probably have to blot maybe 1 time.
Ppl expect it to be some sort of miracle worker lmao it just reduces my oil slick of a t zone. I feel bad for the dry folk who thought this was for them lmao. Stick to futuredew 💀
I’m combo skin more towards the dry side and I love this product and I usually use under my foundation specially in my t zone . this product is so light goes very well with any foundation. And of course exfoliation is the key prior to use this .and the truth is I haven’t seen any single foundations which doesn’t cling on my dry patches so for this reason I don’t blame any foundation . After exfoliation this product works like a charm on me
Thanks for your review! I have combo skin where 99% is dry af, but my t zone is not, so this review was helpful. I really like how you do the before and after close ups.
I have dry skin but my tzone gets oily. I use the beauty oil, yummy skin serum and the universal balm on areas I know get oily towards the end of the day and I still look amazing after 12 hrs. When I’ve tried using it all over my face, I end up with dry patches on the side of my nose and next to my chin. I’m sure this works beautifully for oily skin. But for my dry skin folks, don’t count this out either. Especially for summer.
I just love love your honest reviews. I have extrreemeeely oily skin and I was considering purchasing the balm. I saw another supposedly oily skin RUclipsr rave about it's oil control properties. Now that I saw your review it's a no from me. Appreciate it xx from Australia ❤️
Im soooo tempted to try this but i have some congestion/texture and dry skin so i dont know now…. Ugh why is it so hard to find a good moisturizing foundation
For me personally i have combo skin & i love how this foundation works on my skin i had to learn how to work with it tho! Me personally i go in with a hydrating serum & my moisturizer i don't use primer with it at all just my skin care. i apply & blend the foundation with my fingers ,for my under eye concealer i have to blend with my fingers & blend with a dry blender i use minimal tools for this foundation bc it will move & patch up. All my other products that i use regularly goes on & layer on great!
Literally 😩 you are my skin twinsie! And I’m in the same situation as you not too pale but not at my darkest and I originally bought 3 was too light and had to get 4 😅 but I’m obsessed with it 😍
That one was my #1 Foundation in highschool!! I even kept the packaging to remember what color I was in. Unfortunately has been discontinued… It had THE best formula for oily combination skin!!!😢
Skin prep is important! I have oily, textured skin and love using this as it's the only thing that doesn't break down on me throughout the day and color matches and doesn't oxidize. I do lightly powder after everything, but go ham on the setting spray before application and after blending the balm in.
WOOO lord.. the roller coaster or emotions this video took me on!

Can’t believe every time I’ve needed an oily skin foundation review since I was like 16 you’ve been spot on for like 12 years 😭

@@nailinthefashion it’s a fire product. I’m very oily in the T-Zone and it for sure controls it better than any other product I’ve used.

Exactly my thoughts. Most if not all foundation clings to dry areas, exfoliation before hand is key.
i would love to see you try it the other ways it’s advertised!!
Yes, I use it as directed on the package, I love this stuff so much.

Nope, nope nope. Not good at all for texture or dry skin. It looks so dry and terrible on my skin. I hated it. 😭
Good to know! I was close to buying it!

I have oily skin, and I love this stuff. I'll use it for as long as they make it.
I would love to see you test out the Saie slip tint and the tower 28 tinted sunscreen 💕💕💕
Wow that one size blush tho, looked so light in the pan didn't expect it to show up that bright! Loll but i still luvvvv

The same thing happens to my skin! I think it’s hydrated, and then when I apply makeup it’s suddenly all peel-y and horrible! Such a bummer.
Sam pretty pleeeease review the re-formulated Revlon colorstay !! I’m waiting for your review before I purchase since we are color twins 😊
so SheGlam SkinFluencer Balm is a better option then? 🤔
Literally 😩 you are my skin twinsie! And I’m in the same situation as you not too pale but not at my darkest and I originally bought 3 was too light and had to get 4 😅 but I’m obsessed with it 😍
This made my skin so dry for weeks after only one use my skin was so dehydrated. So for oily skin, maybe it's better. It was. Beautiful texture though
I love the universal shade. The less you use the Better your results. In my experience
I mean.. it’s actually just a fancier Dream matte mousse, right? 😅
that’s exactly what i was thinking! kind of nostalgic, not gonna lie!

I have it also and I've tried it a few times and I just can't seem to get it to work for me
I was wondering if this is similar to the Milani cream to powder foundation?
I heard that this was a primer. Is it supposed to be a foundation?
Love the video and keep up the great work
Where have you been girl!!!!!
We are nose mole twins! 😅
I think a lot of people use this as a primer
Please review Tower 28 Tinted Sunscreen 😭
I thought i was here to see a review of danessa blurring balm . . . 😵💫
its like KVD good apple foundation
First comment?!
Never been here this early either lol

I want to try this out and as a still pretty oily gal I'm hoping it works!
