You need to dampen the leather side, then you need to block out the hide( meaning to stretch it) and staple it out for stretch, allow the pelt to dry then measure it for cutting.

@@yuht9076 Make the outside ruff first. Sew the pieces together and then after its sewed together to the length then make the backing and sew it on. I am going to make another ruff and I can document that process and share it.
This was a great video, I have a wolf I need to cut for garments. I do not want to waste anything and would love to see how and where you decide to cut. It seems a little simple to just measure a couple inch piece and cut across, the hair is longer in the middle than the outside. Anyone here have any experience with this if there isn't a follow up video?
