    What's the main difference between the spec and higher end Camaro race one? Ideally i want an everyday driver and take it to the track twice a month. Can the race end one work as a daily driver and can the more affordable one preform on track

    • @RoadsterShop
      @RoadsterShop  2 года назад +2

      Most of the decision comes down to the amount of work involved with installing the chassis. With SPEC we have extremely minimal mods to bolt the chassis up to the car. For FAST TRACK fabricating a new floor pan would be required. To answer the second part of that question - yes both can do mixed duty but obviously SPEC is better for more street and FAST TRACK for more track focused.

    I have been in contact with you regarding my 2 wheel drive 1972 Blazer stock height spec chassis loaded with everything from rear end, gas tank, fuel and brake lines and LS fuel tank. Can you also supply and install a GM LS engine and transmission either connect and cruise or other options? Probably still 2-3 months from ordering (and I understand it is about a 12 week build time). LS3 480 or 525/4L65/70

    But steel?Why not alluminium and carbon?

    • @RoadsterShop
      @RoadsterShop  Год назад

      Aluminum needs more physical volume to achieve the same structural strength as steel (look at a steel framed mountain bike for example vs an aluminum frame)
      The setup, engineering and general material cost of carbon would be extremely cost prohibitive for most builders.

    • @brunoheggli2888
      @brunoheggli2888 Год назад

      @@RoadsterShop I think your right!To build carbon frames at a aceptable pricepoint you need a very high productionrate and al ot of automatisation!Thanks for your answer!

    how much power can a spec chassis can handle?

    • @RoadsterShop
      @RoadsterShop  4 года назад +2

      As much as you can throw at it (and as much as your transmission, wheels/tires and other supporting components can handle - the chassis will not be a limiting factor).
