- This is a short tutorial video on Microsoft flight simulator 2020 on the vnav capabilities on the Working title G3000 Mod. I walk you through the process as fast as possible so you can get up and flying in your tbm930 and try it out for yourself. We are also using a must have tbm930 improvement mod that really enhances the flight experience and the flight characteristics of the tbm930 in msfs2020. Also we are using custom scenery and what a fine airport it is must check it out below. Not using live weather today as it was pretty bad as you can tell from the beginning of the video. This video is good for beginners as well as medium knowledge flight simmers. Great visuals along the way and detailed info on the vnav process as well as an ils landing at the end. Just so I understand, VNAV is not an automated process controlled by planes avionics or autopilot. You have to manual control the rate of decent by using the numbers given in the VNAV profile window?
Yes you are correct on both accounts but the gps is not up to standard yet and unfortunately you have to manually control it in the g3000
Hello, my friend I usually set my altitude for the highest waypoint, but what happens if atc tells you to go higher let’s say you sit at 10,000 feet and then ATC tells you to go up 15,000 will that interfere with the vnav altitude that’s already programmed in? And how would you change the altitude that atc tells you do you select your altitude and then hit vertical speed and do you have to turn off altitude hold to climb up or altitude hold doesn’t matter? I’ve been staying at the altitudes that are put in for vnav never changed the altitude that atc tells me.
You would select the altitude and climb to 15000 feet and you can use vertical speed or flc. You may need to change the high altitude on a waypoint if the garmin doesn't already pick.up on the alt change so you can click on the altitude next to the waypoint and add a new value. It's all pretty intuitive.

that was a fast taxi. And you have to control VNAV with manual VS inputs? That system should be doing that automatically.
Hey thanks for the comment 😀 yes the vnav should be doing it for you but I guess you haven't used the g3000 mod yet as the vnav does not work at its fullest yet.
I watched this video again and picked up a few more points. Hope it helps me as I am still struggling with the VNAV. Also again don’t know what I am doing wrong. I got the improvement mod but it won’t work for me. I get it. Loaded just fine but the VS won’t work because I can’t dial in the speed. Also, can’t start the engine because the switches won’t move. Had to remove the mod and go back to original mod. Thanks
ok thanks for the update i know that the tbm improvement mod had some issues after the last sim update and not sure if they got it sorted but i guess they didn't yet.
can you make a video on how to combine courses, with multiple ILS landings etc?
What do you mean combine courses? After you land then you can put your new fpl in the box. Or if you want an alternate approach you can do that by selecting the proc and the enter a different icao and then the approach for that icao. When you activate the approach the new procedure will activate .
@@2020fsers how do you add a flight plan without loading it on the start screen by load? I would like to add a few airports and the landing and take off procedures, this way I can practice landings, touch and go without having to restart and load, I also noticed little nav map does not save the entire route and waypoints etc. is there a way to enter in each? or do you have to use many like nav map and simbrief? sorry for all the questions, I am new and seems most dodge the very basics lol
You would need to manually enter the flight plan and all of the icaos you want to visit and in the proc you can enter a proc for each icao but only 1 at a time after you land enter the new proc in the box for the next icao. I noticed how you used V/S to descend. What does the VNAV button in the TBM do, isn't there a way to automate the descent and have the AP follow the altitude restrictions by itself? Where you only need to manage the speed. Since the TBM isn't equipped with an A/T.
Hey there so at the moment the vnav button does nuttin lol. And the g3000 working title addond is not yet capable for doing vnav descents so you need to use v/s or flc or manual fly so you have to be the automation so to speak. Hoping 1 day they will get to it . Thanks for the comment

Another question: How to have the plan mode on the middle screen. I tried to find but I have in vnav but they dont follow the aircraft and dont have also information at the bottom of screen. Thanks in advance captain!

So VNAV is broken until an approach. By which I mean you have to control it?
Not after the aau update vnav works on both climb and descent
I must be doing something wrong .. what about general flying is that just manual assist. I shall check again
When using vnav in climb you also need to use flc that's how the vnav works in climb
It's different on descent because it's trying to keep you at a 3 degree decline .
Don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have watched this video several times. I am trying to set up the VNAV. I have a fight plan, I have turned on VNAV, I go back to the flight plan and I click where it says ____ft to input the altitude and nothing happens. It gives me no way to enter anything. What am I doing wrong??

Ok that's strange you are doing it correct . Should just click on the ft box and should open up so you can enter a number there. Are you using any other mods in the community folder? If so try and remove all other mods but the g3000 mod don't even install the tbm mod just see what happens then .
@@2020fsers I believe that the g3000 is the only mod I have but I will check. My navigraph might there too.

That's great that you feel that way but you still haven't given me any tangible info as to what you would have liked to have seen to make it have a clearer explanation about the vnav . You put a video up saying it's better but no detailed info as to why . If you are gonna say that my video is hard to understand you need to give more info so that I can make it better not give me a video that takes 25 mins until it even gets to vnav info , but I'm not here to talk down to someone else's video so if you can help me help others great if not then I'm not sure how I can take your comment as constructive criticism which I always ask for.
How do you display the "current vnav profile" panel on the MFD?
In the map setting . Click on the map icon and then there should be a panel to turn on .

Bom resfriamento para os fãs do PC Fans e mais fãs. Com tudo o que você deve ser definido. Certifique-se também de ter uma boa placa-mãe z490pro ou superior, pois isso é um gargalo no sistema, pois as placas de extremidade inferior não podem passar as informações com rapidez suficiente. Espero que isso ajude você.

I noticed that in this video you are using the TBM Improvement Mod. I got that and loaded it in my sim. All worked great till I tried to fly the plane. No way to set the VS since when I tried to move the wheel to set the fpm nothing happens. Can’t start the engine cause the starter and ignition switches won’t move and you can’t remove the yoke. I checked everything and I have the correct file from flightsim.to. Ended up removing the mod.
Hey yes I believe the mod is br9ken at the moment after the last sim update I would remove and wait until an update happens to fix the issues . 😉

wow thats kinda crazy out of fuel maybe was the fuel in auto ? other than that the pc farted lol and it went south just kidding but possibly not sure. i hate doing a long flight and the pc goes ehhhhh and shuts down
Brilliant as always with how you present your tutorials. Quick question on VNAV, once you set the heights within the flight plan when TOD is reached VNAV activates automatically assuming the VNAV has been enabled. I noticed that you were tweaking VS a bit.
So there is no vnav in a sense that the plane will automatically descend you have to maintain the "GLIDE SLOPE" down through the altitudes that you entered. That's why I'm messing with the vs during descent . Hope that helps and thanks for the comment . 😀

Yes the g1000 (in sim) is much more advanced than the g3000 until the next update lol
