i got this as a gift for my birthday from my amazing girlfriend. i put it inside a skx009 case for the 200m water resistance so i can keep it safe for the rest of my life. it was a piece that caught my eye before i could afford the rolex hulk. one i’m greatful to have in my collection
I work at the DollarStore and a costumer was wearing this watch and I said wow that watch looks so expensive lol and it has my favorite color got to save for it
Watch Collecting Strategy just did a video on this same watch today or yesterday. It is rose gold. I believe he said there is a blue version with rose gold accent. I imagine it should look pretty nice as well.
Is the fact the indices can be seen under the glass when you turn the watch down or to the left hand side as you dont get the same effect turning the watch to the right hand side.
Bought my srpd61k lighter shade of hulkKX, first day they released and I love it, I also have my original skx009j, and by no means is it a replacement for that. It’s just a fun seiko 5.
I think you may have a different bracelet; mine doesn’t show the line for folded link. But that watch on jubilee bracelet from strascode or uncle seiko is a killer. Beautiful watch. I sent mine to watch guy to regulate the movement to +/- 5 spd. Wearing for more than 8 months and still same accuracy. Unless you are professional diver going beyond 100 meters you will rarely do it. Most recreational divers get their scuba submerge around 50-75 meters. My honest opinion. For $200 + jubilee bracelet @ $65 you will have a pretty good watch
I love the seiko 5 line. I have the blacked out 5kx and a sea urchin and I enjoy them as much as my other seikos. This green one is a looker but my next seiko purchase is destined to be a turtle.
If I had to buy a Seiko 5, Inam pretty sure, I would pick that one. I really like the green and gold. But there are many small things about the watch that keeps me from buying it.
These are not meant for diving, no ISO cert. only 100 meters which is probably ok for swimming. I am no expert, but I have swum with watches with 100 meters of water resistance. If they had a screw-down crown it might be a little better.
@@lifeisgreat1718 Not exactly, these are not certified dive watches with screwdown crown and 200 metres water resistance, these are just dive style watches.
Personly for me, no screw down crown is automatic no go. Wish seiko would make an upgraded skx with sapphire, 6r35, ceramic bzl, nice bracelet. All factory, im sure itll be the next hit.
@Ray Han you're an idiot. Watch sizes are trending down and have been steadily for awhile. Every brand has new watches coming out in 41mm and smaller. Did you just get into watches last week?
Love your videos Rob but i dont like seiko 5's ! I dont like the non screw down crown ! It just bothers me ! I have had water get in a watch before with a 100 meter watch !
I saw the new 5s in a local watch shop, I though they looked plasticy and toy like. Combine that with my pet hate, Hardlex scratch magnet glass, and only 100m water resistance. Not for me. I will stick with my 4 year old daily wearer, a Sea-gull Ocean Star. A perfect watch on my seven and a quarter inch wrist. Sapphire and solid end links and solid clasp,
it's not a dive watch.. No 200 meter, No screw down crown , No sapphire crystal, Cheap hollow links. Its a POOR replacement for the skx007 and skx009...
I've had this watch for the last 3 months and have been wearing it everyday, it's absolutely gorgeous in person
It really is , the gold accents really make it.
I have ordered one for myself ))
True.
Do you know if this specific model is still available with the gold accent?
How is it holding up after 3 years?
I bought this watch a year ago. I still get stunned of how beautiful it is every time I wear it.
Is this model still available?
Love this watch. Can’t beat the value for it. So beautiful. The looks are on par with my black bay heritage and omega sea master.

I have owned both 63 and 61, but the 61 has a beautiful emerald green that can't be beat.
Nah, I have the 63 and the rose gold outline, accents make this watch pop more than the 61. Great color combo.
Jinx! Great review Rob, love my *Hulk KX*
Nice green on that model. A lot of watch brands dont get green right. Seiko did.
I like everything about that watch, those Seiko 5 series are nice. However I discovered Islander Watch. Got my ISL-18 on right now, fabulous watch.
If I EVER do a green watch this will be the one. But it’s definitely gonna need a strapcode bracelet for sure

We need a one month review on that Black Bay.
Oh I will for sure. Been taking notes of my thoughts on the watch and the challenge
The traditional misaligned bezel!
An indication that its a genuine seiko
That’s not a mistake, it’s a feature!
Get a life
Great video. Question, is this specific model still available and if so, where?
Is the fact the indices can be seen under the glass when you turn the watch down or to the left hand side as you dont get the same effect turning the watch to the right hand side.
How would this be for someone wearing it on the right wrist? Would the crown bang into your wrist?
Bought my srpd61k lighter shade of hulkKX, first day they released and I love it, I also have my original skx009j, and by no means is it a replacement for that. It’s just a fun seiko 5.
This is the D61 right? The 63 has the amber rose gold or orange color on the edges
Why does Seiko continue to apply the lum at the bottom of the second hand ?
I asked them, they said just to mess with you Mark.

100 meters 😂

Hi I have a question… I’ve seen some SRDP63 watched have Japan Mov’t on the dial on the bottom but some just have the numbers, what does that mean?
If I had to buy a Seiko 5, Inam pretty sure, I would pick that one. I really like the green and gold.

I got the sumo hulk this is a good alternative for smaller wrist the green is very nice
Is it possible to adjust & use this watch with 6.25 inch wrist ?
Did your crown touches the case?

Rolex aint even iso lol
@@alexampo808 yes true haha
Where did you get this from? Can't find it anywhere
Buddy Juan sent it in. Said that in the video
I have this model, fun watch.
Very cool!
Put this on an Erika originals and OH. MY. GOD.
I can’t believe this watch is 202 dollar I am ordering it right now
Will this watch survive a swimming pool even if someone is swimming 4-5 feet underwater? Do you know of anyone who takes this model swimming?
I've been swimming and snorkeling in the sea with it, absolutely fine😀
Yes me. It’s a dive watch. That’s the point of it
@@lifeisgreat1718 Not exactly, these are not certified dive watches with screwdown crown and 200 metres water resistance, these are just dive style watches.
It’s more expensive, but I prefer my 3rd gen green sumo more lol
Just mine an I love this monster
I have this and paired it with a two-tone J style strapcode. Also, please stop calling it a 5KX.
how does that strapcode bracelet fit this watch? others are saying that end links dont really fit ... and they use some improvised bent spring bars
@@gordanbabic8028 idk. It fits mine.
I wanna put this dial in a srpe case
Personly for me, no screw down crown is automatic no go. Wish seiko would make an upgraded skx with sapphire, 6r35, ceramic bzl, nice bracelet. All factory, im sure itll be the next hit.
they will probably call it: "return of a legend" and charge people $1,000+
I wish they made a quartz option like that. SKX looks but just more convenient and more durable to banging around.
Just add skx007 looks and divers rating and sell it for the price of an Orient Kamasu. Sapphire would be great too.
I really think this is coming in time. And yes it will be $1000+ but it will be worth it. seiko would be fools to not do this imo
Rtime yeah even if they did, it’ll be a limited edition with a hi beat
Good looking watch, just too big for me. I want a green dial with a 40mm or less. Any suggestions?
Try Long Island watch, the isl-21 check it out
Ray Han I wasn’t comparing any watch. He asked for a suggestion
Ray Han ok. so what were your suggestions?
Ray Han and thats your answer to the question. Great. 👏👏👏

A savings of $19k from a Rolex Sub Hulk!
Stick with the citizen ny0040
Not bad

It's a great watch, but I can't justify the price tag considering the specs, you can get an orient triton for less, and those things are tanks.
There's no "k" in especially. Haha, enjoy your content.
Lol, thanks. Doubt I will ever speak well.
Sulk
Yuk on those specs

are you planning on making vids of the street fighter editions?
