I have this blue seiko with the mesh strap. I like it a lot, looks quite classy and, at a certain extent, fancier than it is. I just bought a jubilee strap to have an classy alternative. Really like it. And now I'm wondering if a leather strap fits well too it. Black leather, likely. But what about brown leather?
Did you have any issues installing the endlinks with the included Strapcode spring bars? I just ordered the Angus J Super Jubilee strapcode bracelet and it did not fit at all with the included spring bars. The watch shop I took it to had to bend a different set of bars to get it to work, leading to a bunch of play in between the first link and the endlinks.
Did you try the original spring bars that came with your 5kx? If you got the SKX007 spring bars with the Jew bracelet they won’t fit as the pins are too thick (ends) but I have found they seem to fit fine with the original spring bars from these watches
Yes I quite like the mesh bracelet, I’m actually reviewing the deep red colour one on that in my next video, have a look for that one soon! The mesh is nice quality and I prefer it over the regular bracelet if sticking with standard seiko, just a little fiddly to put on
You can order the SRPD version from Strapcode, only difference is the spring bars they supply, bracelet is the same. Can use the spring bars that came with the 5kx too and works ok, thicker spring bars with the correct size ends for the 5kx are best though
Yes, both are great quality, they have slightly different shapes/styles offered, namoki’s AR coating is a bit stronger though - as in colour, to be honest I’m going for clear AR coated now mostly anyway so either place is fine to buy, all parts are compatible with all other bezels/inserts and so on

Wondering if new ones now have straight bars but end pieces have hole placement in different place to avoid need for curved spring bars. UPDATE. Per Strap code. Uses fatter spring bars not curved anymore. The first versions used curved bars.
Strapcode have specific bracelet options for the 5KX models as well as the SKX line, you can use an skx bracelet with the 5kx if you just use the original spring bars that came with the 5kx, or at least I have found this recently. Also worth checking out the bracelets from island watch and Namoki mods as the quality is very similar to Strapcode but for a lot less cost depending on where you are.

Note that this watch wears much smaller than the 43mm diameter, more like a 40mm due to the short lug-to-lug (I have skinny wrists).

The spring bars on this model are NOT the same as SKX007 ones. So if Strapcode sent you 007 bars, they will be too long.
So the Bracelet makes it a K2 ? It’s confusing with all the codes. K1, K2, J1 and so on and so on. . It triggers my OCD. 😂

When I measured the lug width it comes out to 21.5mm but yet you purchased a 22mm and it fit but when I purchased a 22mm bracelet it’s to big???
The lugs on these are most definitely 22mm, never had an issue with the end links fitting, where did you get the bracelet?

I’d always suggest the seiko as you can modify it to endless design ideas. But the Tissot is a nice choice too!

The angus looks better. This looks cheap and frail. Maybe even a tad homosexual
