Great review! I test drove the same engine and gearbox configuration and found it brilliant. It is quite improved over the previous generation in terms of sound proofing, handling and damping (I own a 2017 Cee'd SW 1.6 GDI). And I love the exterior. The interior reminds me of the Sportage, so it is not that pleasing, but the build quality is solid. Some minor issue is with the display of the climate control buttons, the temperature is hard to see in sunny weather. The sales person said that they will launch also a Shooting Brake model with around 200 hp, so I am not sure it will be in I30 N territory.

Waiting my new ceed sw 1.4 l tbo DCT with blue flame colur and premium pack. Probably I get it in october. Now I have 2017 cee’d sw 1.6l diesel DCT with premium pack. Hello from Finland . Nice rewiew 👍

MrSmithyboy1990 Blue edition is probably closer to the previous GT Line, First Edition is closer to the previous level 4....I assume they will do GT Line/GT Line S/GT soon

It's hard to tell from your film, but the Ceed sounds very quiet and refined - I know you mentioned that - is it as refined as the likes of the Audi A3, Ford Focus and Hyundai i30, would you say?

The exterior styling is something you would not look twice at - extremely generic. The stick-on tablet on the dash is a complete disaster. I drive a Proceed, which I love, but when the time comes I will not even consider this new model.
Brian Holmes I like the way it looks, a bit generic but not dull. Personally I think the 'stick-on tablet' isn't too bad at all. Some other cars screens look much worse.

The Ceed is really nice. I hope it comes to the US . We only have the Rio hatch and Forte 5 but this looks much better.

Its brilliant i've got my 1.4 turbo petrol blue flame i've had it 6 weeks love it ! definitely recommend you test drive one :D

Hello :) yes it’s definitely smoother & quicker. I always test drive and get the feel of the car.
the torque inst build up, because It has a flat torque curve from 1500 RPM. You are waiting for the power that is a fuction of torque and rpm

Hi. Designwise, this new Kia looks like a step back on the 2nd generation. Also the interior space at the rear lacks both headroom and legroom.
What about a GT-line spec car? Can we expect that?
Yes, GT-Line will be coming in about a year to replace the First Edition (the car we're driving in this video).

Detailed review but not a great fun of presenting a car while driving it. It misses out on important aspects mostly of the interior and practicality.

There isn't a traditional torque-converter auto, but there is a seven-speed double clutch.
Pretty much same price as an Optima. Hatchbacks are same price as saloons
