7. How to read a drug label and package insert

This is the seventh part of our video series Antibiotic Stewardship on Dairy Farms. This video series will help people who work on dairy farms learn practical ways to improve Stewardship of Antibiotics.
In part 7, Dr. Ruegg talks about all the practical information that is included in the label and the package insert of the drugs used on dairy farms. The dairy health team should read and follow the information available on these two sources to ensure appropriate dosage of antibiotic, secure food safety by following the right milk and meat withholding, and store and use the drug properly.
