  • When we built the carbon kiteboard we knew that the skins on it were really thin and there was a good chance it might break. Well it did, not how I expected but in a way that is not surprising. In this video I'll discuss the break and what we could do in the future to mitigate it. I'll also show how I am fixing the damaged areas. Ultimately after riding the fix at some point I'll do a carbon overlay over the repair to make it look better, but for the time being I want to ride it with clear glass/epoxy on it so I can see if there are any more buckling issues.

Thank you for instructions! What kind of grind pad did you use? Did you grind all the way to carbon fibers?
    Thnx

Hi! Just wondering how you’d recommend fixing a Jamie SLS with damage into the wood core?

I held up great through the summer but unfortunately I lost the board kiting in Hawaii last fall.

If you don’t make test coupons of your laminate schedule your product becomes your proto-type.
    Good job otherwise 👍👍🤙
