Same, I was so enchanted with Sands of Time. Warrior Within and Two Thrones were good but I was so enthralled by this game. Also, I had a huge crush on the prince.
Might have been an interesting mechanic if the amount of sand tanks the player created changed whether Farah dies at the end. The Prince tells her not to use up all the sand, so if she has enough she might be able to save herself. It wouldn't change the overall ending, but they could have a bittersweet moment before the Prince has to rewind everything. I only thought of this because I never thought of doing a speed run before this vid :P
Thanks, I actually had another thought afterward. A reason for not getting enough sand tanks could have been if the game was on a timer like the original POP. So it would have to be difficult to create enough tanks within the time limit. That would also mean having to rewrite the story, so the Vizier doesn't need the dagger. Perhaps not having the dagger only delays him or something. Probably too stressful for a main game mode. Only an optional mode.
Wait, I loved this game but what about the big boss fight with the vizier at the end where he turns into, I forget what, but some kinda 'final form' and you're fighting on the floating shattered pieces of like a coliseum or something? Was that a different version of the game?
@@TheEngelmark I am not sure I ever finished TTT. hmmm will have to research! EDIT: Yep, you were right- it was probably Warrior Within I didn’t finish. Two Thrones was great.
@@GMPranav Nope, I’ve seen other speedrunners skipped / deleted the cutscenes from the POP WW & TT but this guy didn’t so I was hoping him to not skip or delete the cutscenes of this game!
@@Babu69Official Oh you mean RTA runs. Yeah they do that because the length of those cutscenes are inconsistent between languages, so they are deleted for convenience. But for the TASes it's preferred to use the most vanilla ROM possible so in WW and T2T TASes don't skip the cutscenes. This is never a problem in Sands of Time because the game itself allows to skip them so that's what both RTA and TAS does.
Early 2000s animation rigs are a gift from God -- just look at that face.
Only a mother could love it.

Aahhh wish you hadn’t skipped all the cutscenes like the other pop games!
The other PoP games don't allow you to skip them, otherwise in any form of speedruns they would be skipped as well
