    The cultural differences only become a problem when the receiving society has "self other perception." In Toronto where almost 50% of the population are direct immigrants and a whole other portion are the children of those immigrants, cultural differences are totally accepted. People respect that one's culture is different than another and that creates cohesion. Muslims are friends with Christians, I volunteer with a Jew and we talk about religion, my Christian friends wish me Eid Mubarak and I can easily talk to teachers about missing a class due to a religious holiday. And it's not just because I speak English or was born in Canada. Even people who speak broken English or have different customs and clothing are not looked at differently. They are treated equally. It is when you start treating people like outsiders that they see themselves as eternally separate from the rest of the group and become hostile and angry. In Toronto, there is no stigma or belief that immigrants are outsiders, they are just new comers that, given love, respect, and opportunity, can contribute to the city which oozes cultural celebration and positive perceptions of differences. Europe has a lot to learn from Toronto.

    its a difference to be a refugee or an immigrant - refugees should be supported in neighbouring countries paid by the UN -all countries - food, education , work - free of taxes (not to have to travel)

    He avoids the elephant in the room, which is cultural incompatibility. Whatever benefits they may bring, It's not worth risking the cultural and even racial destruction of your own country. If there really are economic benefits to be found, why are so many "refugees" bypassing the nearest countries offering asylum and instead heading to countries offering the greatest benefits?

    He is right, there IS ANOTHER WAY. Make themselves useful and economically tax positive and people wouldn't hate the impossible idea of having welfare take care of the worlds 3 billion people without homes and even more below the poverty line.

    This was amazing. there was another incredibly inspiring speech in feb 2016 from Alexander on migrants. I suggest Alexander to come to Italy to join our young government team. We are in serious need to change laws and we can together create new leaderships of Europe, a redesign of a european network with collaboration between EU countries (which is todat insignifican as it could be) and create opportunities and one day a more connected EU with the World or better a World Culture. i can foresee that.
    please come and talk to our prime minister Renzi team.

    it really is about social psychology. belarus and ukraine are one of the poorest countries, yet there's no terrorism there. how would you explain that? nigeria has a highest number of terrorists attacks. doesn't that make you think what the actual people are about? why do people ignore this so easily?

    • @nozaakilkhanova6874
      @nozaakilkhanova6874 9 лет назад

      Sweetie, just because American media is not showing something it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The Bonder terrorist in Ukraine slaughtered last year so many people in Kiev and Odessa, I would not wish that to anyone. One example, they put up a huge living block on fire, blocked all the exists, and if someone jumped off the window they came up and shot them to death. It was all over news, but somehow America didn't mention that. And there is no war in Belarus. Moreover, just recently, Moscow had exact terrorist attack like in Paris (group of terrorists, walking in to the theatre and shot everyone who was there) but somehow western media forgot to show it on TV. Oh and 2 weeks ago a plane was assassins with over 200passangers traveling from Egypt to Russia. At least 2-3 toddlers died and half of the passengers were family traveling to Egypt for a school holiday.

      +Noza Akilkhanova darling. do you not understand what I just said???? its complete nonsense what you're coming up with. And that's my point- Belarus and Ukraine are going through some real shitstorm yet they're not running around the streets/blowing themselves up or flooding Europe like there's no tomorrow! !!! they're basically sane in contrary to Muslims

    • @Karakatiza666
      @Karakatiza666 9 лет назад +2

      +Noza Akilkhanova I've got to say that everything you said regarding fire in Odessa is TOTAL BULLSHIT. I live in Odessa myself. Living block? Blocked exits? Shot to death?
      Get your shit together and go read some actual news reports, "Sweetie"

    • @How.Dare.You.
      @How.Dare.You. 9 лет назад

      +mhtinla well yes. muslims should revise their religion if they want to function in the western society. Christianity is based on forgive-love your enemy doctrine. muslims think the complete opposite, not mentioning they disrespect women. thats not how the children should be raised. and children then become adults. frustrated angry adults who want revenge for god knows what.

    • @hiffnyaryff9539
      @hiffnyaryff9539 9 лет назад +1

      +mhtinla It takes a lot of convincing to get a guy to blow himself up. The promise of eternal happiness, virgins, unicorns and rainbows in an unseen and distant place just so happens to be a very great way to do that. Very few if no other religion other than Islam promise reward when a man dies in battle fighting enemies of the religion.
      It takes little effort to convince people particularly ignorant ones and/or spiteful ones to kill themselves for a greater cause. What better cause or 'excuse' than satisfying or honoring a GOD you cannot see for REWARDS that seem too good to be true.
      In other words, you need good 'excuses' to justify violent acts; sacrifice one for the good of many OR, for king and country OR, in this case, Allahu Akbar. Its not the religion that is at fault, it is merely an excuse. But people on the other hand, we're fucked up. Some more than others.
      Generally, people are irrational and their actions are proof of that. Some are irrational PLUS they're willing to go the extra mile to prove it. They just need a good reason/excuse to go the extra mile.
      Islam doesn't need reformation. People just need to stop using it as an excuse.

    As fast as one refugee leaves his homeland, he is quickly replaced by two more babies - future refugees. If the refugees are so valuable, then their own countries need them and they should be building their own countries.

    The most inhumane men in the world are those who sire children while living in refugee camps. We need our governments to protect us from people who have refused to restrain their reproduction.

    Migrants DO cost. Since the second world war, the world's population has tripled. Our earth does not have the resources to give all those people a western living standard. If the rest of the world had been doing what the people of OECD countries have been doing: keeping their reproduction to fewer than two children per woman, there would be no refugee crisis.
