We heard this song live by the Continentals here in Central Pennsylvania in 1986 - and soon after, in that year was invited by a mission board to attend language school in Costa Rica with our young family and then to church plant in Portoviejo, Ecuador - YHWH's Spirit moved in mighty power in that city! I saw a Latin group of ¨Cantantes Continentales¨ perform in Santiago de Chile. That was in 1994. Their leader was a guy named Michael Mahony.

I saw them performing this album in the Johanneskerk in Sittard in 1986. I remember one of the female singers named Ingrid Hofman had family in town ;-).

Thanks for that but it's quite SAD they went bankrupt 👎as there were roughly 20 singers 10/10 girls and boys and 10 in the band and there was one guy comes on stage to talk to he crowd between songs he must if been the manager. If don't mind me asking how much to go to each country and how many countries per year did they travel. Was it the travel that mucked it up🙏.. Very sorry to hear

Toen ik 9 was ben ik bij het optreden van The Continental Singers geweest in Emmeloord. M’n moeder kocht na afloop het cassettebandje en daardoor bleven de liederen mij altijd bij. Een paar jaar geleden kwam ik bij een kringloopwinkel de LP tegen.
Het blijven mooie liederen!
Ik zou de songteksten wel willen hebben, maar die kan ik niet vinden. Weet u misschien waar ik die moet zoeken?

Hallo Benno, Bedankt voor je reactie. Helaas weet ik zo even niet waar je de songteksten moet zoeken. Misschien zou je het bij Continental Sond in Rotterdam kunnen proberen, misschien hebben zij een archief. En inderdaad, bij kringloopwinkels kom je zo af en toe een verrassing tegen, maar veel van mijn LP's zijn geïmporteerd uit de VS. Nog een paar en de verzameling LP's is compleet. Succes met de zoektocht en de groeten uit Oudwoude.
