Based on the biblical story of Joseph (Genesis 37, 39-46), it tells of how the cocky young Joseph was betrayed by his ten brothers, sold into slavery, carted off to a foreign land, falsely accused by his owner's wife and how he ended up languishing in jail for two years.
Despite all the pain and sufferings he experienced, through his own as well as others' fault, Joseph drew closer rather than grew farther away from God. As he honoured God, the Lord blessed him. Joseph rose to power in Egypt, second in rank only to the great Pharaoh himself.
In hindsight, we see that God had actually allowed Joseph to undergo so much suffering so that he could save his whole family from famine years later. The evil thing his brothers did by selling Joseph as a slave to Egypt, God used to bring a positive outcome for Joseph.
For anyone going through pain and suffering, I hope this clip will encourage you to keep trusting God, praying to Him for strength to bear it and for healing and deliverance. God always delivers His people in His perfect time, even if we might not see it this side of heaven.

I am still listtening these songs this 2024. I have lost my cartridge 20 years ago containing all of these songs. I remember I started listening last 2000? Feel Blessed.
We produced this Show in 1986, in Meralco Theater. My wife Annette was the director and my Sister in law, Irma Bringas Aguado was the Choreographer. Each rehearsal and show was a Praise and Worship event for all of us, we love this Album.

It was 1984, I joined the summer Bible camp. After the camp a sister in Christ lend me a cassette tape of this album ....a thirst quencher for my spirit as a new Christian.
I got saved in 1979, I love the worship music of those years. I love that I can find all that praise on youtube❤
Oh, I love all the songs in this album. I listen to them almost every weekend when I am at home and I play them on loud speakers. It’s my way of praising the Lord!

Extreme congrats to the person that created this video with lyrics, narrative and graphics to tell the story! It will be a great tool for us in Puerto Rico for translation in Spanish we will be creating a more modern audiovisual and intimate version about Joseph’s life brought for new generations in 2024🙌

I could hardly remember the time in early 80s when I was so mersmerized by this musical. 40 years have passed and I am once listening to it again. I could not believe it was so well written. These were evergreens, passing on the messages which were everlasting and forever true. Yes looking back at what Joseph had been through and God's mighty work on him, how could we say we had our life worse?

This Album is the first and only that I listen to almost everyday when first introduced by my husband in the 1990s and now 2023 -2024 I am thankful to see this full album here. I have often listen to One of them...I call it Joseph, The Dreamer - He Will Carry You. ! This album has always reminded me of God's Plan, Mercy and Love. PTL.
I love this version of Joseph the Dreamer. I've first heard it as a young child. Decades later, it hasn't lost its appeal. Still ministers to me again and again. I tell my children to play it non stop at my funeral (lols).

I can't believe I finally found this 👏🏾👏🏾 my mum's intern gave her this and Elijah, the musical on two different cassettes in the 90s all the way in Nairobi 🇰🇪..my siblings and I learnt the songs and sang many of them in church and other social gatherings.
I have been looking for them for so long and can't believe I finally found them. God bless you for sharing 🙏 I am sharing widely with friends who have children, hope they enjoy it as much as I did.
The songs speak so powerfully to a person's life and to me they have come back to mind when I needed them to remind me of God's unrelenting purpose for my life. God is good and faithful.

Such a blessing this whole cantata has been in our lives. We sang this for the Cebu and Manila runs of Acts Productions and Trumpets’ Production. The message of Joseph’s life still holds through for all us, especially in these uncertain days of the pandemic.

Thank you so much for posting this album! I was 11 years old when this was produced. We hosted two men and two women from a touring team for an overnight when they came to El Paso, TX. My little heart was so enamored by these "big" people and their talents! One of the guys played our piano in the living room where they slept. Such a beautiful memory of how the Spirit of God was in my heart from such a young age!

this album is one of the instruments of God to comfort me during the times when I've been neglected and treated like trash by the person I thought my family.
By the way, tq Continental Singers and Group, such creative wonderful presentation of the Bible ' Story'...really one of its kinda that move me, touch me...showing me even more of God.
Thank you all you Continental Singers and musicians. I was in the midst of a major exam month in 1983. Didn’t care less but went ahead to watch this musical with good friends the day before an ‘O’ Level paper in Singapore. Never regretted that decision.

What an experience - many, many lives touched, salvations, etc. It opened the door to God's leading for my life. Now listening again some 38 years (?) - memories.

I played the drums that year of '83 tour W, West USA incl Hawaï. Around 100 concerts. The miracle is that it still speaks to my hart today. Jesus is the answer

i did this tour...Tour Z...Zurich to Zagerb...went behind the Iron Curtain in 83...we were like The Beatles there...literally...people chasing our bus they were so thankful for a musical experience and show

Attended an American Thanksgiving Dinner at Aramco in Ras Tanura Saudi Arabia in 1987 and they played this musicale by a mixed of American and Filipino expats. Very memorable.

In the early 1990's ... this production was done in Lautoka, Fiji Islands @ the Girimit Centre! ... My Grandmother took me as a child and the story of Joseph the dreamer had a profound impact on me!

We were so blessed to perform this in our church back in years . And if only there was the internet then, all of us would be reminded and watched how lovely God has inspired each and everyone in the family of God who were there and have sung and ministered for God's glory ! So sad to note that a number of the performers have gone with the Lord and not with us anymore. But glory to God for the great blessing they became part of us in this beautiful cantata, Joseph, the Dreamer ! By the grace of God, we thank all who performed to minister and bless ! Shalom .

Wow, I like the video presentation. Great job. Thank you. I have liked this musical since the mid 80s in my mid-teen years. I still like this album and the other songs of Continental Singers.
Our school did this play twice. First was I played as young Reuben at 3rd grade. Then at 6th grade I played as Joseph. The coat design was from the animated joseph king of dreams, we also included a few of the scenes from that animated movie in between songs. Still gives me the feels whenever i listen to this album.

I watched a 2022 Trumpets production of this timeless cantata in Maybank Theater, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig Manila Philippines. with Sam Conception as Joseph, Gary V as Jacob. It was a blast and a blessing to watch.
I pray that in the future more things like this and Prince of Egypt come to the public. The only thing thats turning a lot of people off is, to me, presentation of that thing. This is an example of GREAT presentation.

Watching Joseph the Dreamer live on stage many yrs ago lead me to watch this on RUclips aftet 5 yrs(?). I found myself in tears & praising Him. Its been a year since i lost my job in this pandemic. Believe me, trust & patience wasnt my best skills. Eventually I developed hyperthyroidism which contributed to my anxiety. Amazingly God opened a window "JUST FOR ME"! ....

I can only vaguely remember the play we saw in General Santos City more than 20 years ago. I grew up listening to these songs. We had the cassette tape once but it got lost. Thanks for uploading the full musical play and lyrics!

We did this at First Assembly of God in San Diego around 1982. It still touches me.
I was a part of a Church Group in NYC that did this show for like 5 or 6 years. We actually did this show in what is known as 'The Off Broadway' areas. We also traveled to other states to do the show--and that was quite the experience. So yeah--I do still have these songs, (and the dances), burned into the center of my mind--and I very often just start singing one of these songs when I offer God my personal worship. Although I don't think I ever sang Potiphar's Daughter's song during my worship time.
