The reason that all female athletics could not make a complete jump over the rod , and their chest clashed against the rod is that they had tried to pushing the rod away before landing their backs on to the gymnastic mattress. The athletics should let go of the rod naturally because the rod would find its own way to rest.
To make this sport more entertaining, the athlete should get extra points if they are strapped with more weight. More overall weight to push over the bar, more points. Winner is most accumulated points - most accumulated weight successfully over the bar. Athletes would be encouraged to go into competition heavier.
