I was at the Excel arena I thought at the time before the decision was announced that Vasyl soundly beat the Cuban, after watching it on youtube I am only further convinced that the right man won. I do not know what all this so called controversy is about.

without helmets, toledo would have stopped the excessive clinching after the first combination he took breaking the clinch. he would have be more hesitant to press because most of his punches would have totally failed instead of glancing on the helmet. and it would have been ended with a ko no one can discuss. there's even studies that show helmets in boxing increase brain trauma because people take more risks and more punches. helmets are definitely important in tae kwon do where a bare kick may send you straight to the hospital, but in boxing, it kinda spoil the game by making the target bigger.
